Small Space and Big Bass
I bought this to replace a stock that came with a soundbar. The stock one had very muddy sound and just didn’t have any depth since it was powered (barely) by the soundbar. This one adds a whole new layer to the sound being produced since the bar doesn’t have to worry about providing any power to the sub.The set up took less than 10 minutes and the out of the box settings were sufficient to show off the missing elements from my original set up.The many different connections available on this sub just add to its versatility. I use it as part of a desk top computer sound system. It would also be great as part of a home theatre setup for a smaller room where you want the deeper elements without taking up too much space.I would buy again if the need came up.

Nice small sized subwoofer
I ordered this subwoofer to add to our outside patio to assist my 2x outdoor 2-way speakers. The subwoofer works great at lower levels. However, it is unable to keep up with high powered 2-ways at higher volumes but this is not unexpected. It supplies adequate base for the price point. It did add some more fullness to the sound to assist with the lower bass frequencies. I am now using it for a supplementary subwoofer to 2x indoor bookshelf speakers and it added the missing lows/fullness of bass. It is now fall (Ohio) so it was time to bring it inside.Good for a smaller indoor sound system that does not have extreme loudness applications. I would not recommend for a very loud setup as it cannot keep up and will be drowned out. The controls on the back could be a little bit better, as the indefinitely spinning gain knob makes it hard to accurately adjust the level.

Affordable, room-filling bass
Initially concerned with the off-brand nature and small speaker size of this sub unit. Bought it to pair with a set of Klipsch powered bookshelf speakers that I use for listening to vinyl.Have had zero issues with it, and it is almost perfect in the amount of bass it adds to to the mix, especially for being in a fairly large open 1st floor living room set up. Even have this nestled between a cabinet with another (wireless sub for home theater soundbar) sitting on top of it. No boominess. Stays tight and responsive.Would purchase another if I wanted small affordable powered sub for different room. Will see how it holds up. Power is in rear and does not enter auto standby from what I can tell. I don't always remember to turn it off, but it hasn't been an issue.

SOUNDS GOOD WHEN IT WORKS
Sounds great when it works. Goes perfect with my setup. Good for tight spaces. Why the 1 star? Well it had a 15min shut off feature that I hate. When I pause a movie or go for a smoke when I come back the sub is off so when I restart my movie or game I have no sound and I have to crawl on the ground and reach around back to cycle the power off and on EVERY SINGLE TIME. I read the book and it says I can shut off this feature and ahows a picture of the switch to do so, but alas my sub has no such switch It says the sub should turn back on when the sound resumes but mine does not. I'm tired of reaching around back on the floor 20 times a day to reset it. Other than the the sound is great WHEN IT WORKS

Pair with Amazon Alexa/Echo for deeper midrange base in a multi room group
Introduction:The Amazon subwoofer cannot be used in a group setup with multi room audio. You’re only able to pair The Amazon sub with one echo, or two echoes for stereo but not a multi room group system.Using an echodot fourth GEN, running out of the line out on the back of the echo into the sub, you are now able to incorporate a subwoofer into a multi room System. I have my bedroom set up with two echo 4th Gen as the main loudspeaker, the third echo dot as the preamp for this subwoofer. There is no noticeable lag with any of the speakers in this setup.Physical description of subwoofer:The sub is thin enough to be slid under Neath most beds. No jacks on the back of the unit so this would work perfectly. With the cloth grill pointed out at you, on the left side there is your baseport. On the right side the top knob is your volume knob which has click stops. The bottom knob is your crossover. Blow The two knobs, or two sets of stereo RCA jacks. The top set left and right or outputs if you’re using the subs Bluetooth. The bottom set are inputs. Below these RCA jacks is your optical jack. Below the optical is your power jack. I do not find any physical switches on the subwoofer itself for on off. Do the crossover is supposed to low pass at 60 HZ, I feel like it’s more around 120 HZ, but it’s still decent enough to knock out a lot of the highs and really any vocals other than some plosives. If you listen to rock jazz or country I feel you will be satisfied with the sound of this unit. If you’re more into hip-hop or EDM, you may want to look for something a bit bigger which will have more low end to it. For a bedroom I feel this is perfect!

Only RCA connections no hardwires conections
Sounds okBut false advertisementIt shows connections in back hardwired for speakers but it has only arc cables in and outSounds ok to add bass to small roomIf I knew there were no hardwired connections I would not have bought it.But if you looking for adding some bass is ok for the price
