no, you can't. if you watch the video it shows that you have to remove the lid to drink. i think the "flex" is in fact that the handle folds down, instead of being "fixed". you can get a lid that has a pop-up straw.

Yes, it should be perfectly cylindrical (round) all the way up. If it's not, there is an issue, and I would think that the company would take care of it. To tell if it's in fact round, remove the cap, make sure it's empty, place it on its side on a flat surface, and roll it.

Perfect size and keeps drinks cold

This water bottle is great. It’s the perfect size for the bottle pocket on my backpack. It keeps the water cold. Larger opening makes cleaning easy. The loop o. The top is great if you want to use a snap link to your belt loop. It also fits in a bicycle water bottle holder!

Great water bottle

My Hydroflask is with me nearly 24/7, I love it! It is durable, leakproof, and fits perfectly into most backpack water bottle holders and vehicle cup holders. I took it with me on a trip overseas and it was wonderful to get fresh, cold water on the other side of airport security to have on the airplane (I won’t name the airline, but let’s just say I refuse to pay for water). I now take it everywhere and can’t imagine going without it.
