Q: I only received 1 smartchlor cartridge. the box packaging says 2 pre-filled cartridges. What's the deal?

It says in the description: System Includes: FROG @ease Test Strips, Jump Start, FROG Sanitizing Mineral Cartridge (lasts 4 months), FROG @ease SmartChlor Cartridge (lasts up to 3-4 weeks depending upon hot tub size and usage). This would be 1 of each.

Q: would this item work for a kiddie pool? it's a larger kiddie pool - about the size of a spa...

I think so. We use ours in our small spa. I’d suggest you take a sample of your water to a pool company and let them check it. The frog is a great benefit but you may need other things for your water too . Hope this helps

Q: Why do I get so much foam on the water? Chemicals are balanced and temp is at 80 during winter with no use. It cant be oils or soaps.

Foam can be caused by a variety of things and it is hard to pinpoint a specific cause. With that said, it could mean your filter needs to be cleaned or that there is something in your lines (biofilm) causing the problem. I would recommend first cleaning your filter with a filter cleaning product. If that does not fix the problem, there are anti-foam products that will dissipate foam immediately. If the foaming persists, you may want to use a system flush or jet clean to clean out your lines (requires draining).
