The Valuation of Amusement Parks and Family Entertainment Center Operations Perfect Paperback – December 1, 2009

If you're exploring the idea of family entertainment this is a must have. Don't even look at the price because the info in this book is priceless. The author must have spent years writing this and researching hard to find demographic data and trends. After using the book and underlining half of it, I had a question and called the author not expecting much. However, in less than 20 minutes he called me back and offered to help. Seriously.

Expected more...not too helpful.

I was looking into opening a full-scale FEC operation and was looking into buying this book to gain some insight on the industry. I reached out to the author prior to buying to inquire whether the information in the textbook was still valid in 2020. He confirmed that is was and then inquired about my interest. He spent 45 minutes on the phone with me talking about the industry and really helped me understand what would make a viable market. Ultimately, he helped me understand that my market wasn't really feasible for that kind of operation. So while parts of the book are available online, and he knew I wouldn't need his book based on his advice, it really speaks to his character and honesty. I would recommend this book 10x over to anyone who needs an in-depth understanding of the the FEC industry.

Truly an invaluable guide to understanding everything you could possibly want to know about amusement parks and family entertainment centers from a business point of view. Written clearly and concisely in layman's terms, this book helped me enormously with writing a master's thesis in property development, for which I am very grateful to its author, Mr. Stephen Bethel. Highly recommended.
