Angry Itch 20 Hole Gothic Punk Black Buckle Leather Army Ranger Combat Boots Steel Toe

I got these to replace a pair of Doc Martens 1B60 boots which I have worn for years and usually replace with the exact same boots again but they've now stopped making them. Compared to the Docs, these fit a bit larger and look clunkier and more noticeable. The sole is clunkier and goes up a bit, the boot looks larger, and the shaft is a bit higher. They're also slightly warmer, more comfortable and squeak when I walk. The leather seems sturdier--there is no wrinkling which makes the boot look nicer, and the zipper seems sturdier as well. There was a really minimal amount of break-in time--maybe a week just to soften the leather enough that stairs weren't awkward. There was no pain with breaking these in (unlike with the Docs which really scrape up the back of my ankles and hurt while being broken in).I've had these for about a month now and they seem to be really sturdy, well made boots. They aren't perfect for me due to the size of them--I wish they were a bit sleeker and smaller, but these are the only points where I prefer the 1B60. Oh yeah, and sometimes people look at me when they hear them squeaking. Otherwise these seem to be better quality than Doc Martens and I'm happy with them.
