Sweet story.
Sweet, cute story. Just what I needed after reading some heavy stories. Branch is the best book boyfriend, heβs charismatic, charming and sweet. Layla is independent, sexy and sweet and I love her relationship her brother Finn. Really enjoyed this book.

Eleven is Also My Lucky Number!
Since it's September, I thought it would befitting to take some time to catch up on my favorite sport in the form of this cute Rom-Com.Lucky Number Eleven, was a bit different than many sport romance books I've read. What I mean by that is, it isn't overly saturated with the odds and ends of the sport where you can still enjoy it even if you have no idea the rules of the game. Instead, you get glimpses of the occupation with a more personal story. Here is my review and why I think you should read this book. The TOP ELEVEN THINGS I LIKED ABOUT "LUCKY" NUMBER ELEVEN:11. Branch "Lucky" Best is hilarious, but with his humor comes a laid back guy with heart. Not only heart for the sport, but we find out just how BIG his heart can be.10. Layla James, the female protagonist is cute without being a pushover. I love to read about strong women. Thumbs up for Layla James!9. Chemistry leads to explosions- Ok, so I sucked in high school science because of my inability to mix chemicals. However, you don't need to mix anything in this book because the chemistry between Layla and Branch comes across at first sight; however, Locke does an exceptional job not instantly throwing the couple together, but creating 'moments' and allowing us (the reader) to experience them along the way. #swoon8. BFF'S are the best and every good book has to have an ultimate bestie and Layla's best gal pal Poppy is totes. I love her. I love her spunk, her attitude about life, and her loyalty. She wins best supporting character award. I'd like to see more of Pop in the near future #HINTHINT7. Bromances count too. Branch Best and Finn Miller have each others back. I love stories that involve male character relationships and how they are defined. In life, they are very different than a f/f relationship, so seeing how they deal with certain situations is something to remember. Locke gave us some good insights on the longevity of a 'disagreement' involving men and if/how it can be repaired.6. FOOTBALL. I mean what other sport romance involves physical contact and mention of abs? None. This earns a star all by itself!5. Pacing of this book was good. I don't think it was too fast or slow. Locke was able to give me what I wanted in a perfect time frame. I am not a fan of the sloooooooow burn, so this was just enough that staying awake until 2 am was worth it.4. Small towns rock and because I live in the Midwest near Chicago, it was nice hearing about Linton, IL. I felt the warmth and tender moments Locke wrote about in the story. It made me want to take a drive to Linton to take in the small town vibe and appreciate the town where I live.3. Layla's occupation was a bright spot for me. I can relate to the career choice, and I'm sure many will once they read the book. I took some advice from her about how to make that money!2. Did I mention the steam level? Probably not, because I didn't want to give anything away. I like how Locke wrote the scenes. They were perfect for the developing relationship between the characters and of course hot enough to send me straight to 'tingle town'.1. There is an HEA and the way they get there gave me all the feels.I hope you pick up this book and give it a try. If you need another push in why you should read it, just take a look at the cover. That's all the persuasion you need!

Adriana has a touchdown with this sweet and sexy read!
Oh how I love a good football player romance! I love their cocky attitudes and their god complexes. Though I much prefer them in books vs their antics in real life. At least these guys are sexy bad boys and not of the criminal variety!Branch Best is a wide receiver, and beast on the field, off the field he's just a player. Though that is what the media says about him. Truly he's a sweet and unselfish man. He doesn't want to bring any woman into the mayhem and madness that surrounds his life. So it's easier to just not commit. I sort of admired that. If you think about the lifestyle they live, on the road or always at work. The doubts that a significant other can have would be damaging to the relationship. But all that changes when he meets his best friends sister. So I kind of think of this as a slightly forbidden romance in a way. Finn says stay away from my sister, and she says mind your own business. But when push comes to shove and life happens in an unexpected way, friendships can be severed easily. I won't say more then that because the plot would be ruined...I really enjoyed this book by Adriana. It was sweet and sexy, had just enough drama, however there was something a little missing for me when it came to the big plot point. I wanted a little more depth with the families of Branch and Layla. It was hinted at and we got little bits but never anything fully flushed out. But other then that it had all the best elements of a good love story and for that I was satisfied as a reader. I did stay up till one o'clock in the morning reading it so that must meant something right! Adriana has a great flow to her writing and I have seen her come a long long way since her first book. Her plot and her development has improved so much since that first book. I truly enjoy her books and I recommend them to everyone.

Get Lucky!!!
There is a reason Adriana Locke is a go to author for me. It's books like Lucky Number Eleven. I was drawn into the book from the first page and couldn't put it down until I finished, which was around 4:00 a.m.! Branch is your typical pro football player...... he's a player in every sense of the word. He has no desire to be tied down during his career, he's seen what that looks like with his teammates. Enter Layla James, baby sister to his team mate/best friend Finn. Layla is a blogger. She is sassy, funny and gives as good as she gets from Branch. She is also aware of what relationships are like in the pro sports world, as her ex boyfriend is on a vacation that she planned, with someone else. She decided a weekend away, at her family's cabin with her bestie Poppy, is in order. Finn too also decided a weekend away at the cabin was a good idea, before the preseason started, and he brought Branch with him. Layla and Branch's attraction was instant and I so enjoyed the ride of watching their relationship unfold. They are just perfect for each other and have an amazing chemistry together. There were times when I was literally laughing out loud and other times my heart was breaking from them and I was crying. Adriana has an amazing way with words. Can I just say that I would love if there is book sometime down the road for Finn, Layla's brother, and Poppy, her bestie. They were the best secondary characters ever! Poppy was at times absolutely hysterical but she always had Layla's back. Finn is the brother I always wished I had. Always protective of Layla and there for her when she needed him the most. Finn and Poppy have this "relationship" kinda thing going on. I would love to see how that all started and how it turns out.To say I recommend this book is an understatement. It really is a one-click must!!!**** I loved all of the Landry series references, especially the grapes ;)

Okay read
Branch meets his teammates sister when they go away for the weekend to their families cabin. Layla thinks he is gorgeous but knows just what football players are like seeing as her ex is one and he's just dumped her. The sex between them is good and Branch finds he wants to see her again. She goes to see him when she has to give him some news and Branch reacts badly.

A really good read
This book is just a really good read. The characters are human, by which I mean they are flawed as we all are, but not majorly so. They make mistakes, but work together and compromise well. I loved it - in fact I couldn't put it down, and stayed up reading far too late for work the next day!

Character's are too perfect.
I didn't finish this book. I began to get bored about the 25% mark so I skipped ahead a bit. It got a little more interesting and then lost me again. I found the main female character too perfect to relate to. I wasn't very keen on the main male character either. I wouldn't recommend.

Brilliant
It's definitely one of those books you can't set down. Loved it from start to finish. Great characters, great plot and very well written. Can't wait to read more from this author.
