Q: What's the easiest way you found to apply this tape to a bike?

Cut the shape you want with scissors and pre-position to ensure a good fit. Use a spray bottle with a light mix of dishwashing liquid and water and spray both the surface of the work and exposed sticky tape. Just slide the tape into position and then use a soft plastic scraper to remove the excess fluid and bubbles. Works a treat on bike frames too.

Q: Can it be used temporarily? Can it be easily removed after use?

You can always remove it depending on what you adhere it to. In some instances you can peel off the underlying paint or delaminate bare wood. If tape is exposed to heat over time, it could also leave a gummy residue.

Q: If placed over a factory decal (on the underbelly of the downtube on a road bike), will removal of this tape also take off the decal?

I don't know, I applied the tape once and never had to replace it.

Q: Which side is applied to the working surface, the side with the paper film or the side with the clear plastic protector?

You would remove the paper release liner to get to the adhesive side and then adhere that on to the surface you want to protect. Thank you.
