Good build quality, owned for a year and still like new. Comfortable earpads. Very good sound, balanced. Respectable sound stage and instrument placement.

Cleer NEXT headphones
Very clean and precise sound. Nice sound stage and expression of instruments and vocals (I listen mainly to Rock). But they were a little too 'bright' for my ears.I preferred the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro in comparison. Returned.

These are some of the cleanest sounding headphones I've had the pleasure of listening to. As 'Audiophile' headphones they feel unsurprisingly lacking in bass but in the case of these headphones this isn't a hindrance. These are the cleanest sounding pair of headphones I've heard, though I'm not an audiophile by any means. The one massive complaint to be made is the LEMO connectors, as one is permanently stuck prompting a return.

Had my doubts, but they're super sterile and still really enjoyable
There's a really thin line between something sounding accurate in a bad way or accurate in an enjoyable way. These are definitely accurate in an enjoyable way, and feel like they have no extension or roll-off either in the low or high end - usually in headphones when something is 'flat' it sounds a bit shrill in the high end and thumpy in the low end.I own a pair of Mr. Speakers headphones, which are amazing - but have an impedance which requires an amp whereas the Cleer Next do not require an amp to get loud. The Mr.Speakers cans also have a bit of roll off in the high end and some punch in the low-end due to the close back design, where the Cleer Next are open back - so while not comparably apples to apples, I would say the Mr.Speakers are more immersive and punchy, better for dub, bass and edm - and the Cleer Next are open and flatter in the high end but without the high end hurting, if that makes sense.I'll keep both and enjoy for different things, but I think that the Cleer Next are my new studio headphones due to the fact that they work without an amp, are SUPER comfortable and durable, and are transparent/revealing enough in the high end to hear some stuff i had not heard before in some music I was familiar with even on the Mr.Speakers or my Genelec 8351s in my studio.
