after installing this on my hitch/bike rake 99% of my movement and sway were removed. seems to be solid material. Easy peesy to put on.

Not stainless steel
If corrosion resistance is a major consideration I would not purchase this hitch tightener. The only stainless steel are possibly the nuts and washers. U-bolt is zinc plated and the plate is painted steel. Not as robust as I had hoped.
