Innovative MarineHydrofill Ti ATO Pro Kit (15 Gallon)

Was really unsure of this product walking in as all the industry credence goes to Tunze. Man what a great product, pump is consistent and powerful, reservoir is clean and super efficient, return holder and probes are high quality and very functional.

Product comes in a nicely packaged and looks to be high quality, I loved the reservoir and it fit like a glove in the space I had. My biggest complaint is the two fork sensors which are position in the sump to detect low water level. Multiple times now, both sensors have been exposed and did not trigger the pump to fill the top off water. Reliability is the #1 reason any would purchase an ATO system. I’ve contacted the vendor and after receiving no response, I went out and purchased a $20 optical ATO sensor which works better.

1) The tank is great, holds enough water that I do not need to make numerous trips each day topping off a 200 gallon reef tank.2) The sensor is absolutely horrible! I woke up to find the sump way underfilled, my return pump was barely getting water and blowing bubbles all over the reef. I have only had this system 2 weeks and need to dry the sensors almost daily. If they are dry, then the pump disperses water. If they are out of the water, but still wet, forget it. I was really excited to get this, but I am not going to be able to rely on this sensor to keep my ATO topped off. I am probably going to replace it with a Tunze 3155.

I bought this on IMs website about 2 months ago and set it up about a month ago. The first couple weeks the ATO worked perfectly, then it started turning on randomly when 1 sensor was out of the water, but the 2nd was still completely submerged. Once or twice every day it will turn on randomly, though luckily the 1st sensor seems to be working and stops it from overfilling for now. I've been in contact with IM, but they keep talking in circles telling me to clean the sensors and take a video of the problem (how can I take a video of a problem that can happen randomly at any time of the day?).I would HIGHLY suggest not purchasing IM's ATO because it doesn't seem reliable and IM refuses to help with defective products.
