I love this powder coating gun! I don’t know why Sears discontinued.

Maybe the Only Powdercoat System that does not need a Compressor
This is absolutely not a professional powder coat gun and should never be reviewed as if it was. Many years ago two of these were on clearance when Sears stopped selling them. Other companies have sold the same gun, always for a short time. Problems with the design include a lock for the powder container that is easily broken and weak support for the internal fan motor. There is a metal probe that is supposed to charge the powder. Once this becomes coated with powder it does not work well. If this gun is ever dropped it is easily broken in several ways. Being aware that this is a fragile gun mine have been treated with care and my spare gun is still in the case after 10 years of use. Yes, this is certainly an entry-level gun, but not having an air hose means the gun is much more comfortable to use than any gun that requires an air compressor. For small parts that will fit in my toaster oven this gun has always been a good worker. It simply coats better than any other system even remotely close to the same price range, and you don't need a compressor. Cleaning the powder cups to change colors was difficult. Solved that problem by finding extra cups for each color I shoot. A small paint brush can be used to clean the powder off the metal voltage charging thingy. This gun paid for itself the first time I used it and has performed well for more than 10 years. I am hoping there will eventually be a new "improved" version based on this design.
