A nice, well-built fixture to mark the walkway
We have a long, winding walkway to the house from the street or driveway, and visitors could not see it clearly in the dusk. I tried numerous other fixtures (typically smaller/lower ones), but there are three major issues with all of them.1. They quickly deteriorate and stop working after being covered with snow during a snow season. (I am too lazy to remove and reinstall them every snow season, let alone we need the walkway lighted at all times).2. They tend to be overgrown with and/or obscured by plants during the summer season, or get crushed by lawn mowing contractors (they tend to "trim" them together with flower and shrub beds).3. They typically use small spikes, and these either break or do not keep the fixtures upright and steady. Then I came across these mini-post solar lamps that look good, are much taller (well visible; no snow damage or trimming risk), and can be reliably attached to pavers or concrete slabs (keeping them upright and steady). I have purchased 12"x12"x1.75" concrete slabs at Home Depot and attached fixture bases to them. After that I can move posts together with these slabs, and the only thing I need is some river stone to keep them vertical and somehow cover the bland-looking slabs. After the first several weeks here are the impressions:1. The lamp posts look well, improve the landscaping design and are quite capable of illuminating the walkway, so that people see their path clearly. (They are not suitable for lighting the whole area). The length is just right: They are well visible (located more or less at waist level), are not overbearing, and provide adequate lighting for the walkway.2. The overall build looks and feels sturdy enough. I was worried about this part when we had high winds, ~40-50 mph just a couple of days after installation, but all 8 lights held well.3. They do last at least several hours after dark (depends on the lighting conditions, of course), which is typically sufficient for all late visitors to leave safely.

Make your own base and these deserve more than 5 stars.
I took someone else's suggestion and screwed these down on scrap 2"x 8" wood, placed a brick on the new base, and now when birds land on the light they won't tip over. These lights are great in the summer time and will still be lit up in the morning as the sun is rising. In the winter, we simply don't get enough sun, so the lights only work until about 0300. They are beautiful and still working great after a year. Husband ran one of them over with snow plow. The pole bent and broke from the base, we were able to reattach to the homemade base and still looks and works great after over a year.

Great
Looks like a real street post but smaller. Charges quickly and lasts all night. Easy to put together. I’ve had them for 3 months now. Still works fine. I just wish it would have came with a spike to stab into the ground as opposed to a base that screws down onto something like a deck.

Looks nice
Exactly what I was looking for, I needed a light that would be higher than the snow. Light looks nice and stays lot almost the whole night if enough sun during the day.

Looks good, fabrication seems good quality, but the battery does not last but 2-4 hours.
Looks good, fabrication seems good quality, and size is good unless you require a full sized street lamp. The battery is junk. The light turns on at dusk and is dead by 9-10 pm. So, the battery only lasts like 2-4 hours and I have not been successful in finding a proper replacement battery for this type that is of proper quality. Also, I see the seller literally just updated the solar panel and battery specs right after my recent purchase, so I have the sads. 😔

Nicely Lights Front Walkway
I often forget to turn the outside lights on when go out in the late afternoon. These lights were placed in my front flower bed between the driveway and the entryway to the house. They are perfect and I never have to worry about pulling in after dark with no lighting. They last well into the night - don't really know when they finally fade out before the morning sun recharges them, but they last at least until midnight easily.

Beautiful
These were exactly what I wanted for my front porch, and they are very pretty and can be decorated for the holidays also. They were easy to assemble, my only concern was if putting them outside they would need to be weighted with something, or they would blow over being so light, and definitely would break. My husband spray painted a weight, (dumbbell) and attached it to the bottom and it is perfect.

Tricked!!!
I feel totally tricked! These solar lamps seemed to be perfect. I bought 2 at first wanting to make sure they were good. They assembled easily, went in the ground well, tall enough without being too tall, and were bright enough without being too bright. I was so happy I bought 7 more! Until a week ago! Now NONE of them work! I have 2 others that were a different brand with cool white light that I bought last year and those still work great! These however, are useless. Even with full sun. Not one lights up! So I wasted a couple hundred dollars on lights that worked for only a couple months! Stay away!!! I cannot recommend these at all! I’m so sad!
