Kuldip Unisex Factory Seconds Pashmina Scarf Shawl Wrap Throw

EDIT, Wash report: I machine-washed the 'desert gold' (which is really medium khaki) on warm, delicate, with a load of usually-dry-clean cottons. Then put them all in the dryer at 'medium cotton' setting, using the moisture sensor for when drying stops (Kenmore). No shrinkage, and the shawl came out just fine; no fading, no color running on the other (similar-colored, but lighter) clothing. Better, in fact, than before I washed it. Soft. Still not fond of that color, but it matches my Pendelton khaki slacks (see my review here in Amazon, near same date, on the slacks). 100% Viscose.Original review, follows below.=======Since these are factory seconds, you do gamble that they will be good enough to wear. At about $3 each (price is higher, now) -- I took a chance on the yellow and the desert gold: their picture colors are accurate, though the actual scarves don't have much sheen (thank God). The package came from India, replete with customs declaration on the bag.These are nice scarves, sized as you'd expect for Pashima design. Happily, there are no annoying tags. The desert gold (= wet beach sand, a warm khaki) has a run in it; but the yellow one was fine. I don't have a problem with the former scarf having a run in it.Here, the idea is to have a substitute cover, versus a jacket. Either scarf-wrap is good enough to wear with nice clothing. I imagine one could machine wash on delicate or soak cycle, else hand wash in cold water and shampoo or Woolite; but the removable tape label says 'dry clean only'. I bet the color will run. But I also bet you could put this in the dryer, at lowest or air-only setting. Will try doing that, and will report back here. At this price, it's worth the risk to test. Alternately, hand swish-wash with mild shampoo (well-diluted), then drape over the previously-cleaned shower rod (i.e., if you're travelling and need to wash the scarf).What surprises me the most, is that the fabric isn't threadbare. It's sheer, but nice. Two or three threads woven together, not merely one-to-one. Think of silky tights, and you'll have a sense of the feel. They are like thin t-shirt cotton, in weight.I'd iron them on low heat with sizing, if you want a dressed-up look as a shawl. If you've no time to iron, just spray the scarf with water until it's damp, and drape over a cleaned shower rod. They should steam well, but I'd iron them with a thin towel over the fabric, just in case; for viscose means rayon, and it can melt.Tassles are about 5" long, not the 2" in the product description. I don't like tassles, but they are pretty.If you drape the scarf over your neck, or bunch it up to wear as a scarf, it looks nice. Could wear as a hood, too, in case of wind. Since it's Viscose, not silk, I'd not worry about rain.Fabric has a very nice feel, to my mind better than silk (which is sometimes scratchy, itchy or 'hot').

As a person who wears a scarf regularly, I would have to say this scarf met my expectations. First the price is really reasonably, and on top of that the shipping is free, this is the best deal that I have found! Second, the colour matched exactly as it was shown in the image.If you are someone who are cover their head or wears a hijab, the length is perfect! You have enough fabric to pull it down and cover the front as well. Since it was folded into multiples, the material was a little wrinkled when it came in, but that being said, it was flawless when I ironed it. That being said, if you wrap it on your head, you will have to iron it every time to remove the wrinkles. In addition if you stick pins into it, it will leave visible holes. Unlike most pashimna's this material is not soft, its a the texture little rough. You can see the threads and it is a little to easy to pull thread off. So if you stick pins in it, you will have a lot of lose threads.I haven't washed it yet, but by the looks of it I am pretty sure it does not loose its colour. Would I buy it again? I am completely blown away by how fast this order was completed. I received my order in less than 48 hours from the time I placed it on June 9th to the time I received it on June 11 (9:48 am) and it came all the way from the U.K. Unbelievable!I was so impressed with their lightning speed that I ordered another 13 scarves! (My first order was 14 scarves all of different colors). I'm just recently getting into scarves as a fashion staple, not just for warmth in the winter. The few scarves that I had prior to this were all chunky-knit winter scarves.Anyway, as for these scarves...they're o.k. for the price and the fact that this seller doesn't charge for shipping.From reading the reviews, I expected these scarves to be really soft and slightly rayon-like because I have other scarves made of viscose (which I purchased at the local mall) that feel wonderful against the skin, but these aren't particularly soft. They have more of a "linen" type of feel, are very lightweight, not bulky at all, and can be worn year round. I ordered many different colors, some of which were totally off, like the "jade green" which looks more like a hunter green in person. The "navy and the royal blue" look like the exact same color, or maybe they sent me two of the same scarf, idk. And the "dark chocolate" color looks more like a "mauve" to me, like it's got red or pinkish undertones. Held next to another brown scarf or brown blazer and the red/pinkish undertones are more obvious. I wanted a true dark brown, so I'm still looking for one. The other colors seemed to be true to their pictures. Other than that, the minor flaws were just that, only minor. Yet, I can't see wearing these with formal or cocktail attire, the quality only seems best for casual wear. -- Hope that helps and happy shopping!

I bought a total of ten of these, and the colours shown on the website were quite accurate. They arrived earlier than expected. Although I could not find any obvious fault with any of them, I think that ALL manufacturers need to rethink their means of attaching labels to the scarves, because this is where the trouble starts. Some have their labels stitched on, so there is no hope of removing them. Some have their labels tied on, and although a swift cut with scissors removes them, it often leaves small holes in the material. Others have their labels glued on, but it is risky to try and remove these in case they damage the material underneath. I would be interested in other people's observations and comments, please. Otherwise these scarves were exceptional value for money, but they will need to be ironed. They drape well, and although lightweight, they are surprisingly warm.Although some have the words " dry clean only " on them, I shall take a chance and wash them in the machine at the lowest temperature and spin speed. Do not be put off by the word " seconds ".

Great size, nice and soft.The colour wasn't quite what we were expecting though, much more rusty brown that the "deep red" shown in the product listing.Missus has a few of these already, and her tip is to use a colour catcher in the wash when you wash them.

Colour is slightly darker than the picture but fine for such a small amount of money.

These are fab, great selection of colours. They look and feel great when you wear them. Great price too what more could you want
