Awesome stuff
Tried a couple of ASA brands, but this is by far the best finish and relatively easy to print with. I Ave an Ender 3 with Microswiss direct drive, and all metal hote d, I also use the Creality printer enclosure, so keep that in mind, prints nicely at 95 deg bed temp and 235 deg nozzle temp, on my third roll now I like it that much 😀

Absolutely brilliant.
I have purchased this because I needed to print some parts for Voron printer. Never printed ASA or ABS before. Just PLA and PETG but after reading about ApolloX - I decided to give it a go.I was astonished how simple it was to print. I was worried about smell, warping, etc. I didn't had to. It printed so well just after first printing temp tower. I'm running 240c and 30%Fan and it seem to work well. Parts in the photos haven't been cleaned or anything. I just took them of the bed that way.If you want to print ASA, buy the ApolloX filment. Simple.

Prints well
This stuff prints nicely and at high speed, great for functional parts if you need high temp & UV resistance as well as maybe gasoline resistance like I did. The only issue I've had is that for one application I used it in where it was subject to vibration it was too brittle. Horses for courses for sure. In that application I've ended up remaking the bits in 95A TPU with a high infill instead of the ASA. It's very good strong stuff this but lacks the layer adhesion and vibration resistance of a hard tpu. If that isn't a problem for what you're making it'll work very well.

Love this material
Initially I purchased this material for some printer modifications, it has proven very useful for automotive parts, both internal and external. It has good temperature resistance and strength as well as being easier to print than ABS (an enclosure is still handy)

Works amazingly with the right settings: 245 and 90 is the sweet spot
This stuff is amazing, once you have the settings correct it is incredible.Temperature wise I have found that 245c is the best for both layer adhesion and looks, if you only care about layer adhesion try 250c. Personally, I use 245c on the 0.4mm nossle with 0.4mm layer width and 0.2mm layer height at 60mm/s with a 10mm/s first layer speed, as well as 0.4mm retraction distance with 25mm/s retraction speed in direct drive setup and I get great results. Good layer adhesion, good looks, zero stringing. In terms of bed temp, this stuff has a glass transition temperature(basically when it starts to soften) of 97.8c, so I use a 90c heated bed. I get zero warping. My setup is an Ender 3 Pro upgraded with a Printermods MDD, a SeeMeCNC EZRstruder, and a Micro Swiss all-metal hotend. For bowden setups I would reccommend 6-7mm retraction distance at 35mm/s.Feel free to ask me any questions on further reccommended settings, I always love to help out:)

The most brittle ASA I have ever used.
I have a small business making items that need to be weatherproof and UV resistant so ASA is the ideal material to use. I have tried a number of different brands of ASA and have a good deal of experiencing printing with it, and this is by far the worst I have used, it is so brittle. I bought two rolls of this and have had the same results from both, I have been unable to use most of what I have printed with it. Thankfully the return window is still open so back it goes for a refund.

Brilliant
This ASA blend filament is fantastic. It doesn't warp when printing, and it doesn't noticeably shrink when it cools. It prints well even at high speeds on my Voron. It sticks really well to my textured PEI sheet -- in fact it almost sticks too well! ABS prints will detach themselves from the sheet after printing as they cool and shrink, but the ApolloX prints don't do this (maybe because they don't shrink enough?). To detach them from the sheet I just let everything cool down and then spray some isopropanol (IPA) on the sheet; the IPA wicks under the printed parts and this releases them (accompanied by a nice cracking noise). You can get a faint white discolouration on the first layer of the print from this (same happens with my ABS prints), but a quick blast of hot air from my heat gun returns them to the true colour.I'm converted. This is the stuff.

Open Frame ASA Printing
The filament is great - takes a bit of time to dial it in depending on you setup ( still working some kinks for aesthetics) but once done, it puts out great parts: stiff, easy to post process, decent surface sheen.I ran it with layer heights from .12 to .32, 235 temp and 100C hotbed. Speeds depending on layer height - from a lower 25/35 to ( more recently) 55/75.Retraction are smooth and don't generate clogs, fans...I use thrm mostly for bridges where they run momentarily at full blast.Overall it's a great product and just as a side note...I came back to the old purchase to get a couple more rolls :) and ended up writing this thing just prior to ordering.

1 recentie was helaas juist. Yvonne P klopt 100%
