NEW Z1R JIMMY HELMET, BLACK, 3XL/XXXL

I needed a new helmet, and was looking for a really large size to fit my melon of a head. I saw this helmet is sold in a 3XL size, so I ordered one..Even saved a bit more using some points I had earned on previous Amazon purchases. This helmet seems very well made, and fits perfectly. I've been riding motorcycles since 1967, this is the best fitting, most comfortable one I've ever owned...A+++!

A little caveat, I did not buy this helmet from Amazon. I got this same helmet from my local bike dealer.Ok, so the helmet. This is a nice helmet, and I would buy it again. The 3/4 design allows for a firm grip without giving the rider the 'squishy cheeks' that some helmets do. Just make sure you get the right size, which, I will admit, is difficult when buying online. I don't have a big head, but I have the XL size, and it seems to fit me just fine.The strap on the bottom is functional and doesn't hurt. I would highly recommend when you put the strap on and tighten it, touch your chin to your chest. It's a great way to see if the strap is too tight. Having it too tight, and when you lower your head it will dig into your chin. Just loosen a little and try again.The only negative I can give the helmet has nothing to do with the quality or material. This helmet is as good as it can be, but it's a 3/4. Z1R has done an excellent job making this 3/4 as good as it can be, with proper fit, nice padding, padded strap and visor. The helmet does come with the standard 5 snaps around the face, so you can add a face shield, which I would recommend. Just make sure you like the feel of a 3/4, and wouldn't rather go with a modular or full-face.Depending on your riding, you may decide to add on that day, or not. Slow riding around town, no face shield. Faster riding, or a day when it 'might' rain, then put the shield on.So that being said, this helmet is awesome. It's as good as a 3/4 can get, and Z1R has done a great job making sure that you will be safe, and enjoy the fit. I would recommend buying a face shield.
