absolutely perfect - don't understand all the negative comments
After reading reviews from so many different anchors, I went with this one because it seemed like it was the most secure/durable and had a seal to keep water out.Not sure how so many people are having issues - almost as if they're posting about the wrong item. These are very heavy duty, the thread length is perfect (see pictures), and each one comes with a foam seal that sticks to the back of the anchor. It checked all the boxes. Install was a breeze, took 10 minutes for all 9 - I used a standard 13mm wrench just fine (none of my sockets were short enough to fit) but a ratchet wrench would have made things easier/quicker.I'll update again if it ever breaks or pops off - can't imagine these popping off, they're super secure

Excellent pick point for a ratchet strap tie down
I set up a canopy for shade over the bed of my truck, I had the LineX spray on Bedliner installed one year ago. So razor knife was needed to cut the liner at each factory plug. I had 9 of these to put on. After the first two, working up a system to make this efficient and faster for each install. They are a little tricky to set up, backing out the nuts to where the small backing plate will slip into the plug hole and still stay connected AND not drop the nut off (that would be really bad, it would fall into the hollow part of the rear fender and bed of truck to never be retrieved again ) LUCKILY I did not do that, but the trick is to get the plate JUST loose enough to slip into the plug hole AND once you start to tighten the set bolt NOT have the plate SPIN as you tighten ! This was an issue on several ... must have patience and a little luck. Several only took 30 seconds to loosen, drop in, tighten up and be done, then a couple took me 5 minutes of knuckle banging, cussing and wiping sweat from my eyes while being a contortionist in order to install... overall I give the product performance a solid 5 stars, install ease was 3 stars for several but overall ease 5 stars. Looks of finished product , a solid 10 stars ! They are easy to hook and tie down to, securing loads is so simple. Shipping box was not a huge wasted oversized box either. I am VERY VERY happy with this purchase and compared to the dealership pricing , I saved over $120 !!! Thank you amazon AGAIN

Awesome little light/medium duty tie downs
Go ahead and order one for every hole in your truck... I ordered 6, and wish I had gone ahead and gotten all 9. If you're having trouble installing them, you dont deserve to have a truck, sell it now. It's not as easy as making a PBJ sandwich, but its really not a complicated process either... and once they're in, you're done. I installed all 6 in less than 15 minutes. The only legit worry I've read about is whether theyll pull lose if you over tighten them. I watched someone bend their entire bed rail by over tightening a 40k lb strap. The point being, use a little common sense. If you're tying down a load of sod or bricks to these, and relying on a $10 set of tie downs to hold, then you may end up with some new holes in your bed. If you're just tying down a ladder, or kayak, you're good.

Simple, Easy to Install, and Strong
These tie-down anchors are fantastic, much better than I expected. I looked hard at all the tie-downs on Amazon and chose these for the simplicity and the design of how it connects to the truck. They also looked heavy duty. I was not disappointed. They are simple but high quality, and installed very quickly and easily. You will need a 13mm combination wrench to install, as I don’t think an adjustable wrench or a socket will fit. But a combination wrench worked perfectly. I installed 9 of them in about 20 minutes and they are very strong and durable. They do stick out too far to keep a cover over them if you have a drop-in bed liner, but I knew that going in.I couldn’t be happier, especially considering the price. These are exactly what I needed.

Not using as intended but they still work
Bought thinking they might fit & work in some openings in the bed of my Ranger ('19). They don't. But they almost fit into the slot on Unistrut. So I installed some Unistrut to give these (and potentially other items) a place to attach. After I filed a little of the paint off and did a little grinding on the nut-plates they fit and slide (and anchor) just fine. My ratchet box-end 1/2" wrench fits and drives the screw ok. If they were made just a little bit narrower on the legs and the nut plate, (so I could have used without reworking) they would be more versatile and close to perfect,

Nice but not that nice
So I got them because of the lower price than the others as well as they looked like they could hold up. Well they are a little difficult to install as well as when you are tightening them down the backing plate like to rotate on you and screw it all up so you have to start over. Once I installed them I realized that the paint can easily be scratched by the box wrench you install them with not to mention if you have something that has an edge on it they will scratch up. When installed they hold well but only time will see if they rust out or break.

Good idea but cheaped out on holding plate
The idea of the product is very good but the execution is not. The loops are a terrific way to secure your cargo. But the flat plate you insert into the truck bed is too small IMO and the bolts are just barely long enough. They could have spent another $.50 and made the plate longer to be in more contact with the inside of truck bed to be more secure. My fear is the small plates will slip off contact with inside of bed hole under load and hoop will come unattached to bed. If that happens I will make longer plates myself and thread them for more security. FYI You need a 13mm box wrench to tighten the bolts (not easily).

Great inexpensive bed upgrade.
I bought these because I wanted a few extra tie down points in the bed of my truck. They were ease to install with a wrench and feel very sturdy. My only concern is not with the product but the material that the product mounts too. If you pull to hard like with a ratchet strap you could easily bend and damage the sheet metal that these tie down poins anchor to.
