Great meter, I like that the probe connects to the cable. I had issues with the connection point on my old meter.

I purchased this unit hoping that I could get a better gauge on when to bale hay and if what I had already baled was going to store without molding. I live in a humid climate on Maryland's Eastern Shore. From my previous experience I thought that the hay was in the mid-teens for moisture. The meter tested the bales to be from 27 to 33% moisture. I kept checking the moisture on several bales because the humidity and ambient temperature remained high and I was expecting the hay to heat. Four weeks later, the hay has not heated, does not seem moldy or have a musty smell. The moisture meter still reads from 22 to 39%. I have little faith in this unit and there must be a better probe for testing baled hay that compensates for temperature and humidity. I plan to look for a different meter.
