Cheap, Durable, Fast.
Decent, straightforward instructions--solid construction--decent cord quality. This does what is advertised. It runs pretty warm as expected and includes heat-dissipating tape that should last a while.

GREAT BUILD QUALITY AND FAST - VERY FAST....
I was looking to buy a "speedier" external USB drive for a "grab-and-go" backup in case I needed to BUG OUT. I also bought the ACER FA100 2TB M.2 SSD 2280 NVMe Gen3 x4 Internal Solid State Drive which has a good price/performance attribute. The installation took less than 5 minutes and then I plugged this bad boy directly into one of my ASUS MoBo USB SS-10 ports. After configuring this new drive in Disk Management as a new-simple volume, I ran the Crystal Disk Mark 8 program. This program has a default setting for 5 passes which is not really necessary and set it for a one pass test count. As this is a "portable" drive, I verified the Device Manager "Policy" setting for the drive was set for "Quick Removal" - for safety, and even with not enabling the faster "Write Caching" policy, this puppy flies. I am so happy with the performance of this drive and the SSK case, I'm ordering another drive and case. For just 120 bucks, you cannot beat the price and performance for a 2 TB External SSD drive....

Does what it needs to and good manual and all parts needed
I get right about 1gigabyte per second (byte not bit) read and write on my macbook pro and a samsung 980 pro. That is about the peak number you'd expect after overhead on a 10gbps link. You never get an effective rate matching the theoretical number.Device is simple to assemble with a good manual and includes a magnetic screw driver (cheap plastic but does the job great) that lets you easily deal with the tiny screws involved. It has a piece of one-use thermal pad that I chose not to use as I'm going to use this as a way of prepping m.2 drives for use in other computers not as a permanent usb storage device.I tested both with BlackMagic Disk Speed Test as well as just copying large files to it and confirming that the time was commensurate with the test numbers. GIgabyte files copy in about a second.edit: Connected directly to my iphone16 and it's awful, it takes about 20 seconds to perform any read operation - it just sits there 20 seconds before the access light starts blinking. It's basically unusable. However, I hooked it up to a usb c hub via usb A cable it comes with and plugged in external power (wouldn't even turn on without external power) to the hub and the device works as expected. Iphone 16 can't provide enough power directly, I guess?A usb-c thumb drive connected directly to the phone operates perfectly but likely uses much less power.edit: connecting it to the phone via a powered usb-c hub via the included usb-c to usb-a cable works great.

Good NVME External enclosure
As someone who has a collection of unused NVMe and SATA SSD modules, this enclosure has proven to be an excellent solution for making the most out of these drives. It allows easy access to multiple SSDs, offering seamless swapping of modules without hassle, making it incredibly convenient for both personal and professional use.Key Features:No External Power Supply Needed: One of the standout features is the fact that the enclosure doesn’t require an external power source. This is a huge plus, as it simplifies setup and reduces clutter. You can simply plug the enclosure into your computer using the provided cables, and it powers the SSDs directly via the USB connection.Compatibility with Both NVMe and SATA SSDs: The enclosure supports both NVMe and SATA drives, providing versatility. This is particularly useful if you have a mix of these drives lying around, as it allows you to use them interchangeably without needing different enclosures for each type.Ease of Use: One of the most appreciated aspects is the ability to easily swap in and out different SSD modules. Whether you're testing drives, upgrading, or transferring data, the ability to quickly switch modules makes this enclosure a very practical tool. The SSDs fit securely, and the swapping process is smooth and tool-free.Cable Options: The product comes with two cables – one USB-C to USB-C and another USB-C to USB 3.1. This ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices, including newer laptops, desktops, and even some tablets or other USB-enabled devices. The inclusion of both cables is thoughtful and ensures flexibility in terms of connectivity.Performance: The copy speeds are impressive, especially when using high-speed NVMe SSDs. Data transfers are fast and consistent, ensuring that the performance of your SSD is not compromised when using the enclosure. Whether you're backing up large files or running software directly off the SSD, this enclosure supports the performance demands quite well.Portability: The enclosure is compact and easy to transport, making it a great option for professionals on the go. Its lightweight design means that it can be slipped into a laptop bag or briefcase without taking up much space.Pros:No external power supply required.Compatible with both NVMe and SATA SSDs.Fast and reliable data transfer speeds.Easy swapping of modules.Includes both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB 3.1 cables for versatility.Portable and compact.Cons:While the speed is great for most tasks, ultra-high-performance users (such as those using top-tier NVMe SSDs for intense workloads) might experience some bottlenecking due to USB interface limitations, but this is typical for most enclosures at this price point. Conclusion:For anyone with extra NVMe or SATA SSDs lying around, this enclosure is a practical and efficient solution. The ability to easily swap modules without external power and with solid performance makes it an excellent choice for both personal and professional use. Whether you're using it for data transfers, backups, or as a portable drive for large files, this enclosure delivers reliable performance and convenience. It’s well-suited for a variety of users, from casual tech enthusiasts to professionals needing quick and easy access to multiple SSDs.

Great case, price it right, helps dissipate the heat of the SSD drive well.
Great case for PCI M.2 SSD drives. It can be a little hard to slide the cover on, but if you look and find the sticking point, its easy to press it down, out of the way and the cover will then slide on pretty easily. The case is solid, fits tight, has a heat sink pad with it to fill the gap between the drive and the case to allow thermal transfer efficiently. I like it lots!
