Ideas & Inspirations for Art Journals & Sketchbooks

If you own any of Suzanne McNeill's books you won't be surprised by this one. It has some clever ideas, but fall short of being a fantastic resource. I have all of her Zentangle books and have learned their are others that are better. There are also better, more details art journaling books. It's a bit longer than her Zentangle books, but I'm sure that adds much to its actual content. I'd check it out at the library before purchasing. If your are into art journaling, you are probably past what is presented in this book.

I love this Book! It's easy to follow, well laid out and full of ideas for someone like me who wants to get into art journaling but is a little intimidated by it. I think it would be well worth it even if it was only inspirational but it's filled with great ideas to boot. Great book!

i was really disappointed when i received this book. i got it thinking as a new-ish art journalist i would learn some amazing techniques, but i was sad to see this was such a basic book. i think it would be more geared towards younger teens, although that may be generous. it is on nice paper, in full bright color, layed out in a very understandable manner.

This book was a lot of fun! i also learned a few things and it has helped me to not be so anal about my journal pages. It shows the cut & paste method for covering mistakes or pages just not up to your standard. It has excellent examples and "how tos" plus, best of all, will encourage you to be creative!

Pretty good book. Art journaling is very big right now and many of these books are repetitive, but this one is well done.

This book is filled with amazing ideas and examples. If you are attempting an art journal or taking Oprah's and Bene Brown's course and are stumped for how to begin, this will definitely give you a running start. Definitely worth the money for those who need a little extra shove.

This is nice and the illustrations are large and colorful, but I had imagined something else. While it didn't meet my expectations, someone else may be delighted with it.

I LOVE LOVE this book ! its just what I have been looking for,it has been criticised for being too simplistic BUT if you are starting out with art journaling and sketching well then this book is perfect..its given me a lot of ideas and new angles. its not a huge book with lots of pages but it still packs a punch.All the other books were to advanced and more or less eye candy at least with this book you can get basic ideas and improve your skills slowly, instead of making you feel inadequate..This book is much more user friendly !the only backdraw is that you don't get the back cover of the book which got some really nice food sketches and info..

This is a very concise and easy to follow book with ideas and inspirations for art journals and sketchbooks. Excellent purchase.

Great book with lots of wonderful info. I chose to buy the Kindle version so I had it at my side when working.
