Works amazing
My cat gets really bad mats from rolling around on our carpet and rugs. It works amazing for them. He usually doesn’t let you touch them but he tolerates it with this brush.

Great for getting through the undercoat (especially if you are left handed).
This de-matting tool is ideal for long haired dogs with thick undercoat. Previous de-matting combs have to be pulled through the hair which caused my dogs to be very uncooperative. This one the teeth are long enough to be able to use a saw like motion that cuts the mat without pulling hard. Just sharp enough to cut the undercoat but not much hair. Has made grooming easier for me and my dogs. Also shape is ambidextrous (saw other reviews for combs that could not be used by lefties - no problems with this one).

What I Needed
I am able to get through mats of my double coated Keeshond but it seems it is taking out more hair than necessary. I wonder if I need a smaller one.

Very helpful
It is a good and sturdy product. It worked well on our curly haired dog. You just have to be patient while using it, but it works great to remove and open matted hair.

Great for left-handers
This is no more or less effective than any other dematting razor comb we have had, but since the handle is oriented differently, you don't have to be right-handed to use it comfortably on both sides of the dog, at any angle.
