This book changed my life
I’ve been trying to lose weight for 10 years on and off. I had been praying and asking God for an answer to finally begin this journey and stay on it! When my boss presented this to me, after reading this book along with watching several of Caroline leaf U tube videos this changed my life. To understand how the word and science ties I together blew my mind! I have been on this life style change since October and I’m down 25 pounds. I haven’t been at this weight in over 5 years!

Think Differently About Your Food
I thought I was pretty informed regarding "food" in the U.S. Turns out I was sadly mistaken-I didn't know nearly as much as I thought I did. To be honest, this book will depress you before it empowers you. Tons of stats in here that are sobering and eye-opening. Just may cause you to toss and turn in bed for a bit. But you will be equipped with the means to evaluate what you are eating, why you are eating it, and learn to use your dollars differently when it comes to purchasing provisions. My main concern (and the reason for 4 stars) is that there are so many in our nation who don't have the financial means of buying unadulterated food. As one who buys organic as much as possible (and it turns out the "organic" I buy actually isn't all that good either), I know it is more expensive. Meat can be twice to 3 times as much as conventional. My 25 year old son can't afford that-I can barely afford it! And I do buy local as much as possible. So this book could discourage some. I also personally disliked the feeling that I was sinning if I didn't buy organic via local farmers, etc. But I believe this book can start a movement that inspires creativity and community when it comes to where and how we get our food. This wealth of info is the catalyst to that movement, and it will send a message to our government that we refuse to allow them to control our food supply. Definitely worth a read!

Awesome buy, I will definitely read it a second ...
I've read over 67 diet books this year in research for a diet book I am working on, Dr. Leaf takes a very unique approach that I have not seen much from in any of the other books I have read. The problem with most diet books is that they just repeat what everyone else is saying. This is a very novel book. Everything you perceive comes from your brain and mind, so why wouldn't you be able to think yourself into health and intelligence. Awesome buy, I will definitely read it a second time in a few months just to really burn in ideas.

Expected more of her wonderful brain/body discussions; less of the rest!
A lot of information that was (for me) a repeat of industry standards re: food sources. Expected more of her other wonderful brain/body discussions and less of the other. For people who are unfamiliar with what they are really putting in their mouths, it will be an eye opener, and possibly still too weighty. Ironically, since it comes down to simple basics anyway re: food and just staying thankful ... there wasn't too much to elaborate on there. Overall, I think her books and the work that she does has been an absolute gift to the world.

Love this book
Dr. Leaf is hard to get use to at first but once you get into the flow of what she is telling you WOW. I really enjoyed it on audibles so I bought the hard copy to mark in and make notes to be able to apply what she's saying. I know from her other book Switch On Your Brain that she explains things visually in charts for those of us who learn best that way. What she has to say is well worth the effort and time to get through it. I even bought the CD of Switch On Your Brian for the car so I can get it in my Spirit.

This book is an eye opener folks! If you are ready to quit hiding your head in the sand about the food you are eating, this is the book for you. Dr Leaf gives great insight on the "fake" food dominating the shelves in our grocery stores. She points out the problems and helps you to switch to a healthier way of eating. WE MUST FIRST CHANGE OUR WAY OF THINKING ABOUT FOOD!!!

Deceptive Title Cover
Many people have really liked this book. I found the information in this book to be common knowledge for most people. It did not give me information that I have not already been aware of. Although the author did give recipes at the end of the book, I was hoping for more info on the types of food that are really good for your brain. The cover photo showed the kinds of food that I was hoping to hear about from start. The evils of the fast food industry have been known for many decades and I wasn't interested in a recap of what has been out in print for years.

Enjoyable read that shows with real data why we must eat respinsibly for ourselves and the world.
Phenomenal book about why we have a responsibility to our soul, mind and body to eat responsibly. Lots of recent clinical studies to help clear up all the confusing info. Well written and enjoyable to read as well! Not dry like some sciency books can be.

Very informative.
Liked the information......from scientific standpoint. A lot to read and to 'digest'...(pardon the pun)......probably need to read it in parts, and to re read some of the information. Would recommend.

Detailed, honest book about choices we need to make for our future and the future of our children's health.. Loved that she gives credit to God throughout book.
Good resource to go back to for info. Take some time to implement. Emphasis on organic and grass-fed meet might put some people off, due to costs.

It's a bit holier than thou
The concept is good but the delivery/written word has too many references to god/religion which for me, interferes with the message. I found it distracting and annoying.

A great book
A great book which cuts across all the diet fads to give key principles to eating rather than cutting out certain ingredients. The main principle is to eat that which is natural and unprocessed, which I have always tried to do. The only reason I've given it 4 stars is because some of the ideas are a little unrealistic if you are on a limited budget and have a family to cook for, but it certainly gives food for thought!
