I had to replace an old microwave because the paint on the inside was chipping away. Had no idea why. Then i learned that food splatter (pasta sauce, etc), if left inside the microwave, it will literally cook the paint off. So eventually the paint was basically rotting away. This lead me to this product and i bought it.So i bought a new microwave:Toshiba EM131A5C-SS (really good microwave)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076VB5JFQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s02?ie=UTF8&th=1And i bought this microwave plate cover.After using it for weeks, i'll never use a microwave without a microwave plate cover. If you don't have one you need to buy one!PROS:- It works and easy to use.- It's cheap to purchase- It will leave your microwave 99.9% clean. My new microwave, after weeks of using it. The inside looks brand new still. Which means the microwave won't suffer paint damage and it will extend the life of the microwave.- You won't have to clean the inside of your microwave. (i still check to make sure it's clean just in case)- The plastic doesn't melt, it barely gets hot. So you can safely grab the top handle and pull it off. Then wipe inside to clean the plate cover if you need to.- I think one of these plate covers could last for many years. It doesn't look like it would ever break and you can always clean and reuse it.CONS:DON'T PUSH THIS PLATE COVER DOWN ONTO A PLATE IF IT'S THE SAME SIZE. IT WILL GET STUCK. GENTLY SIT THIS PLATE COVER OVER THE PLATE- I wish it was a tiny bit larger.As it turns out, my big plates are the same size as this plate cover. At first, i pushed the plate cover down around the plate. This caused a problem. The plate cover got stuck to the plate and was hard to remove the plate.I did manage to get the plate out and i learned my lesson not to do that again.So it would be good if this product came in a size a tiny bit larger. This product doesn't fill the entire microwave plate, so a slightly larger plate cover would easily fit.Not an issue though. I just put the this plate cover over my big plates but i gently place it on top of the plate, so it sits on the plate itself.For plates smaller, it won't be an issue.SUMMARY:If you own a microwave BUY THIS! It's an necessity.I think this could also be a good gift idea. It's low cost. And it will save the person from cleaning their microwave.I did also check out the plate cover with the magnets on top. But i don't really understand that product idea. First off, can you even microwave with a magnet inside the microwave? Will it damage the microwave? And why would you need to store the product away on the inside roof of the microwave? The whole point of buying a plate cover is to cover the food you put inside the microwave. So there's really no reason i can think of of why i would want to use the magnet or take this product out of your microwave for storage. I keep this plate cover in my microwave 100% of the time.

I use this every time I microwave. Saves so much cleanup time. It is thick and sturdy. It really gets the job done. I can also see the food through the plastic to let me know if it needs more time.

I bought these as backup to a much older one of hard plastic with cracks in it. But these are so much better! The large diameter covers dinner plates and the dome shape allows large bowls without touching the bowl or food above the lip, (like vegetables.)They're easy to clean, too.

Works exactly as advertised. Love this. Easy to clean and keeps the microwave interior spotless.
