As expected
Good quality, free of defects. Works well in aluminum and mild steel so far. No issues.

Perfect
This worked perfectly to fix the threads on my hub motor.

It worked.
I had my doubts. I'd damaged the threads on a spindle pounding it out. Don't do what I did.If you're reading this it's probably too late.I lined up the m30 1.5 die up as well as I could by sight. Since the threads were damaged I didn't know how it would start at the right position. I guess it's designed to start itself. I had to follow through to the end even though I couldn't see damage farther down the shaft. Maybe the die pushed debris in front that I couldn't see.Spindle nut went on smoothly. The threads may be weakened. I'll find out when torquing it down.I did use a 55mm socket and a 20 inch breaker-bar to turn the m30 1.5 die.Lesson learned.

Goo rethreading die
Used this to clean up the threads on a M2.5 stainless steel screw for a dental implant. Was very accurate.

Does what it needs to do. Ok threads
A M6-1 nut was cross threaded and unfortunately the mounting bolt that got damaged is discontinued. That means hunt the pick-parts yards or try and fix this one. For $6 worth a shot. When this arrived it was test fitted against some know fresh M6-1 bolts. Some of them this threaded on ok and others it would begin to cut. On a known fresh bolt it should not have any issues. This die may not be very high spec but being able to salvage the bolt was more important than % of thread engagement. It is an interior bolt so no high stress or issue so long as it can torque to 6-8 ft-lbs.Sometimes if it begins the cut influenced by the damaged thread it won't match up. I didn't have a thread file to clean up the initial start. Took a chance. Ran the die down the bolt with Tapmatic cutting fluid and it progressed well. Threads joined into the good ones so I was happy in that regard too.The resulting threads are usable but until I get to re-assembe this interior I won't know. The fresh nut has wobble that concerns me if the threads will even take 6-8 ft-lbs. In all decent but probably better re-thread dies out there. It is chamfered at both ends. Check which orientation seems the better side for your application. The China side down was the orientation I used. In that orientation it was able to spin down some of the bolts without it cutting.

Repaired My Saab Axle Threads
I foolishly pounded on the axle trying to remove it from the hub assembly I was replacing on a 2007 Saab 9-3, I had a really difficult time trying to find the correct metric size for the re-threading die. I finally found the axle nut was M24 x 1.5 and purchased this item. I carefully worked the die slowly onto the axle and after a short time was able the screw the bolt easily back on. This tool pulled my foolish mistake out of the fire and I'm back on the road again.

Cuts well
Does not cut like a rethread die. Mor like a standard die but it worked well on the truck with the stud.

Buena calidad, producto equivocado.
