Very study, I've had 3 stacked on top of each other, no issues with collapsing etc, I've had them for about a year. I do have it in such a way that dark colours stay in the bottom basket as its always the one that fills the quikest, and is the heaviest, then mixed colours and the lightest basket with whites at the top.

Is this waterproof inside? Could it be used for wet face cloths after use?

Dear Alison Thank you for the question. The laundry basket is not water tight so will not hold a large amount of water, it is deigned to use face clothes but i would suggest just to give them a quick rinse of water before placing inside.
