It;s rather poorly designed product. Like the other 2 reviewers said, its size is rather too big. But my issue with it is the design of the catcher. It does NOT catch all the clippings. A lot can still fly out everywhere. The removable cover is very loose so the clippings caught can still fall out if you accidentally knock the cover off, totally defeating the purpose (which had happened once to me). Also, some of the clippings got lodged inside and I could not empty it totally. I used to have one (coincidentally also from Japan) that worked much better.

plastic clipper holder way too big
my dad has a clipper he got from Japan that just holds the clippings in the space between the hinges. the oversize rubbery holder on this model is just overkill - you don't need to collect 10 sets of clippings before you empty it!

Nail clipper to large for finger nails
With its larger size, it is more of a toe nail clipper and the plastic nail catcher has already broke
