Comfort Seats C1B6R9-BFCH Acrylic Toilet Seat with Chrome Hinges, Round, Butterflies

If you are tired of toilet seats that move, break, split, or stain, this is the one for you! It used to be that you installed a wooden seat, and you MIGHT have to change the thing in about 20 years; nowadays, you are lucky to get one to last a month. Wooden seats are nice when they don't split or discolor, or the paint peels. Plastic seats are just plain flimsey, and padded seats are nice for a few months until they split as well. And almost all of them have one disadvantage--plastic fasteners. I bought an acrylic seat, a Ginsey, at the big box store to replace my worn out wooden one, and even though it had metal bolts, the nuts were the plastic variety, and as anyone who has tried has found out, There aren't any nuts that will fit the particular threading of the bolts. It seems the "toilet police" want to protect us from ourselves so that we don't overtighten the bolts and crack the bowl. Why they should care is anybody's guess, but I have gotten so frustrated with nylon bolts that don't keep the seat from shifting. As if this were not bad enough, within a week the Ginsey broke where the hardware was screwed to the lid! I ordered the Comfort Seat from Amazon, figuring if it was a hunk of junk, at least I can return it with minimum fuss. Imagine my surprise when the item arrived to discover that not only was it a solid, sturdy looking seat, but the hardware AND the bolts were chrome! It has been two months, and I am sitting pretty, and tight! Oh, and I found I am bright enough to tighten the bolts just enough without breaking to bowl.

Very pretty, But on the hinges the nut will not tighten up. Can not use. I threw away the box so I can not return . Very sad I have to buy another one and this one was not cheap. Susan

it is very pretty but it didn't last. After a couple months the metal started turning black, at 7th month, the metal broke and we threw it away. Very pretty but doesn't last long enough

The Comfort Seats brand toilet seat I bought to replace a cheap one I bought at a home center store. I figured they were all the same, but I was wrong. The old one didn't stay attached securely without wobbling, and even cracked on one side on top. So, it cost me to save some money. But because of recommendations, I bought this brand and was not a bit disappointed. It's sturdy, solid, no problems at all. The pic is exactly what it looked like. It's very vibrant and colorful. The only thing I personally would change is that I would make it a little bit thicker, just for aesthetics sake. It's solid and sturdy and heavy enough to handle a fairly diverse group of visiting, um, bottoms, shall we say? But I just think it would look nicer if it were thicker. That's all. A little costlier than cheapie models, but well worth it because you won't have to replace it again right away like I did.

What can I say, about this gorgeous toilet seat; that hasn't already been said?! I will admit, that at first, I thought it was a bit pricey. :0 I had been looking around and ended up reading all of the MANY positive reviews, about this one. So I went with it and...they are all true! I wanted something - not only - nice to look at but also durable and sturdy, with hardware that would withstand lots of use and not fall apart. This lovely seat is well worth the price! Without any type of really pricey remodeling, etc. it was actually a very reasonably priced way to give my powder room a new look! And, as I already said, it is very durable - so far. It has only been a couple of months but I have no doubt that it will last a long time. It replaced a wood one, that had the finish peeling - ew! This is the seat to buy, when you need a new one! It was very quick, also, for hubby to install. I bought the Butterflies and just love it!

It did not last long at all and the hinge broke. Not worth the money I paid for it. It is only for looks.

We were so tired of toilet seats we had bought at the Big hardware stores braking after a year or less!!Got this one and I have confidence it will not split or whatever. It is lovely looking to look at. Very sturdyand the right price. Much cheaper than other ones I have seen online. I highly recommend it.
