This is actually a really effective little can opener. It looks intimidating but it is easy to use. Really handy.

Does exactly what it needs to do. I have stopped using an automatic can opener in favor of this. It never fails to open a can and is extremely useful for road or camping trips.

I bought this type because it reminded me of my days in the Marine Corps and using the P-38 can openers (Also known as "John Wayne") for the old style MRE's. They were simple (Once you got the hang of the opening method). The standard manual can openers that rotate around the top of the can had some issues so it got tossed. These can work on all cans even damaged ones. The P-51, which is the bigger brother of the P-38, is even better for finger grip. This looks to have the P-51 attached to it and with the hand hold attached to it makes it a great set-up. Very durable and looks to last a lifetime. The P-51 is sharp and will bite you if you are not careful.

So I’m notorious for breaking traditional can openers. I’ve bought expensive ones, cheap ones, different brands they all seem to peter out and eventually stop working.This is the first time seeing or using this kind of can opener. I have had it for a little over a month and it took some getting used to and figuring out technique, but I think this can opener will well outlive any other can opener I have ever had. It’s sturdy and worth the money spent.

Bought as an impulse off a video I saw. My can openers usually break pretty easily. So needed something more durable and this has been amazing. Easy to grip, cuts through all size cans. I’ve had it for a while now and still opens can as easily as when I first got it. It looks great. I have issues with joints and muscles and this makes opening cans soMuch easier very comfortable. Gets the job done. Worth the money.

I love how simple and easy this little canopener is to use. It doesn't slip like most of the crank type canopeners, and it extra lightweight and small so it's nice for camping use too.

I’ve never used this style of can opener before, and it requires a little arm work, but it works amazingly. I open my containers so much faster now and with so much ease. This is such a great to handy tool to have , especially if you work in the kitchen.

I have used military versions of this type of can opener most of my life. When I saw this design I was delighted! when I got the package not so much.two things I don't understand.1. why is the tip of the can opener bent outward about 10 degrees.2. why is the part that hooks into the bottom of the can lip so dull, it doesn't bight in at all making it harder than necessary to use.These two problems are surprising for a Japanese product.
