I bought this for my husband when he came out of hospital having broken his pelvis in multiple places - it was easy to assemble although the pipes are quite stiff to get on , but they stay on - it’s a very large single size, nice and long and tucks in at foot if the bed - I didn’t want to get a hospital bed as he’s tall - it’s been going 24 hours a day for several weeks - the little engine is very quiet and sits under the bed - the switch has a noticeable green light so you can see if it’s on or off from a distance - I really recommend this - forget the more expensive ones ! I don’t know about long term but it’s certainly ideal for post surgery - thank you

Bought for an older relative after they had suffered a broken hip and were having to spend more time in bed. Box on ours came in a pretty poor state, but mattress and pump inside appeared unused. We tried it out at home before taking it abroad to our relative. The mattress is suprisingly long (it covered the length of our 200cm bed easily). Using it the first time you just need to make sure that you manually straighten out any kinks or it won't fill. Once that's done, it fills and works well. A word of warning - it's nigh on impossible to get all the air out if you want to pack it up again. Pump reasonably quiet. Our relative found it did give relief and they were definitely more comfortable. They were starting to get some sore areas and this seemed to halt that. Coincidentally, we also shopped for a seat cushion around the same time and ended up (not through planning) with one from Vive also. That was also excellent and helped our relative a lot.

I unpacked this, set it up, then found the mains plug is USA, not UK. Repacked it for a return via postman tomorrow.

This mattress is excellent value for money. And as mentioned in other reviews the pump is quiet and effective. There is also a YouTube channel from the manufacturers which gives a bit more information about the product, and they respond to queries. Unfortunately I had to return the mattress. This was because of the strong smell of plastic. I did air it for a few days, but the smell persisted. I am sensitive to odours, and this may not be an issue for other people. The return process went smoothly.

So far so good... 3 months in and still working fine. 🤞 We Bought this for my elderly very poorly mum, who is prone to bum sores. We did have a NHS air mattress. But the head district Nurse had it removed because I smoke. Wtf. Ive never smoked inside my own house, never mind my mums house. Always outside, always. So we looked about and found this. And its been brilliant so far. For the price this is a Excellent product. And it's not often I can say that about products offa amazon.

Early days but so far so good. Air pump is think is pretty quiet not causing issue with sleep. The mattress part initially looked very flimsy like a holiday li-lo. Once attach to the pump with 2 push fitting flexible hose the mattress pumped up quickly. The mattress has lines of interconnected sections which inflate and deflate in turn. I'm a heavy 6 foot tall person and the mattress works well with me on it. I am now expecting the bed to last well as other reviews have said. 5 different hardness settings to suit all. Personally I prefer number 3. My skin is already showing positive signs after just a few days. A1 . Recommended by. I will update the review later should any changes arise

Easy to inflate, and comfortable to use. My Bed sores have disappeared quickly, and I feel that my blood circulation is improved.

This alternating air pressure mattress pad works great. It’s a bit long for the hospital bed at home but it still works as it should. No leaks, it’s holding up great, keeps my husband comfortable. This pad was definitely an awesome choice and well worth the price.

The mattress arrived very quickly, but I could not use it as it was wired for American 120 volt instead of 240 volt Australian- my fault for not checking first. Returning it was managed fairly.

I considered buying a new mattress. Bought a topper instead – it made the bed too soft, the pain worse. A warm waterbed would be my first choice, next a sleep number bed. As I was looking at options, I discovered the Vive Alternating Pressure Pad. I remember those from working in nursing homes and the sound of the pump would keep most from sleeping. I was surprised that the box was so small and most of it was taken up by the pump. Another surprise when I unfolded the mattress pad and thought I got the wrong size – it was a foot too long for my bed. (That was before it was inflated.) While the pump is quiet, it hums. If you notice night noises, you will notice this. Originally, I placed the mattress so the pump would be at the foot of the bed. However, the air inlets were on the wrong side, the hose not long enough so I turned it around locating the pump above my head. All night I could feel the vibrations through my pillow. It would be nice if the hoses were longer, if there was a choice between right or left air inlets, if there was a strap midway to keep the mattress from easing sideways. It takes effort to attach the hoses to the mattress. Lying on the mattress, I could feel the air pockets filling, releasing. I could feel the pockets through the sheet pressing against me, like a massage. I DID NOT feel pain sleeping on my back or side. WOW! My knees did not hurt. My legs did not get numb. I woke, stood up feeling different – not like a broken pretzel. This alternating pressure mattress is not just for those who must be in bed for long periods of time. I’m almost 75, it helps with arthritis pain, with the lingering pain of old injuries. I would buy this again!
