DG: Strategy & Tactics Magazine #246, with Manila, 1945, Board Game

a decent game, nice components and fairly clean rules, but it seemed to me that the situation deserved a more thorough treatment than this game gives it. The system is a bit simplistic, and while it bears some hallmarks of the John Hill classic Battle for Hue, game play does not achieve the nuances of that system in portraying modern urban combat. The length of the turns and the battalion level scale do not work well with the more tactical scale of the map. That said, it was a fun play and worthy of four stars.
