I purchased this mat 1) because it is 4 inches wider and 6 inches longer that the one I was using before, 2) because I needed something that had more cushion and 3) because I needed a nonslip surface. This mat has it all. I am 66 years old and need something under my knees for cushion but not so much cushion that my balance is compromised. I use this mat for Yoga and Pop Pilates. We do a lot of plank jacks in Pilates and this mat is wide enough that my feet actually stay on the mat. The mat does not slip on the floor and if you wipe it down with a wet paper towel before starting, your hands and feet will stick to the top as well. I am very sensitive to volatile organic odors and this mat does have a strong odor upon delivery, but if you air it out for 2 days before using it, you will find that it has no odor at all. I showed this mat to my Pop Pilates instructor and she liked it so much she asked me to get her one!

I am new to yoga so I didn't know much about mats when I bought this. I read a lot of reviews and I am really glad I picked this one. I really like the size and the fact that it doesn't slip on my hardwood floors. It has just enough cushion for my knees and I don't slip when I sweat. Apparently that's an issue with some mats. I also noticed a lot of people asking about how the mat smells. I did notice a little smell when I took it out of the packaging but once I started using it, it was gone. My only complaint is that it didn't come with a handle. But that may or may not be important to someone else.

I have been using the mat for about 2 weeks between the house and gym, and the thickness is just right for both yoga and mat Pilates. It does show dirt right away, so perhaps a darker color would have been a better choice as I like to be able to practice on the deck outside as well as in classes at the gym. It does have better grip than I expected for a mat in this price range, and I have not seen any sign of shredding (though I only practice barefoot). I have been using it as temporary mat, and am used to my Prana mat, but again, for this price range, I am pleasantly surprised.

When I first received my mat, I wasn't impressed. The mat had a few marks on it, and looked like it was separating in one spot. It wasn't a huge deal, so I told the company I'd just keep the mat, but wouldn't write a bad review, as it wasn't very expensive. They informed me that their mat is guaranteed for life, and they'd be more than happy to send me a new mat free of charge. A while later, I received my new mat, and I must say...I LOVE IT! It's wide and plenty sticky, but not overly so that vinyasa is difficult. It has just the right amount of cush. If I had one complaint it would be that it doesn't roll up tightly, and it's hard to find a bag that it will fit in due to its length. Great company, and great quality for the price!

I like the size of the mat compared to other brands that are thinner or shorter, this one fits perfectly with my height (5 foot 8 inches). The cushion is soft and is thicker than the others I've bought before so I'm able to dig my knee in without having to fold it. Overall, it's a good quality yoga mat. I would have given it 5 stars if they had included a strap for it. I got the blue one and so far the color is nice. Looking forward to more designs and colors.

I was worried when it said Seagreen and Tan when I assumed from the picture is was teal and black. However, it's closer to what I was hoping for, and I'm in a dimly lit yoga room when I use it most of the time that it's irrelevant. I get sweaty when I do vinyasa yoga and was really needing a good mat that wouldn't wear out super quick and would grip my sweaty little hands and feet. This is EXACTLY what I needed. I'm 5'2" and my whole body can fit stretched out the length of the mat (no more kicking people in the head) and I don't slide when I'm doing downward dog anymore! Worth the price, cute color, grippy, and super psyched about the life time warranty.

I received my new mat two days ago and couldn't wait to open it and try it out. I unrolled it on a wooden floor and stood on it. The feel under my feet felt like a cushion. It grips the floor very well, and as I tried down dog, my hands did not slip at all (as my old mat does). The new smell is minimal, and as mentioned in another person's review to just air it out for a few days worked just fine. As far as the weight of this mat goes, it feels like air (only 2.5 lbs.) I can't wait to use it on my next trip to the yoga studio.

This is the mat I've been looking for. solidly built with a firm but comfortable feel.Ive used many different mats in the nearly 5 years of practicing yoga: thin roll ups, too thick and rubbery, cloth sweat traps of varying thickness and material.This Sprive company came highly recommended by a classmate and I'm glad she said something about it. I've used it 4 times in the week that I bought it and it's been perfect.The best part is, it's priced so nicely that even if it starts to crack or get nasty like every single one I've ever had, I can easily replace it. 5. stars. so far.
