High Caliber AR500 Steel 1/4" Thick Targets - for Precision Practice

the octagon shape ar500 plate looks well made the edges and holes look like its plasma cut which is fine for me as i mainly use this as a backstop in my indoor range. i do this plate as a swinging target plate outdoors occasionally. it measures 12 inches across from side to side its about 13 inches corner to corner and the straight edges are 5 inches each and its 1/4 inch thick. the plate weights in at 8 pounds 11.3 ounces or 3.95 kilograms.it has a dark grey surface finish im not sure if its paint or some kind of coating. i like to hang mine with a thick nylon rope instead of using steel chains for a more audible ring when i shoot it. it wouldn't make a difference with higher energy rounds but i normally shoot air guns with 40 fpe energy or less so if a .177 pellet moving at 600 fps hits the plate it barely moves at all and there's no impact sound with is why i hang mine with a rope.i haven't tried powder burners with this plate so i can't say how well it holds up but its definitely air gun proof.

I ordered a 10" gong and two 8" gongs that are 1/4" thick and the quality of the steel is excellent! The larger gong had some very minor scratches and paint chips in the middle but you are supposed to be able to paint over these with $1 spray paint when range shooting anyways. I couldn't be happier with how they turned out, as they are well cut out and should offer quite the target on the range. These were the lowest priced Ar500 steel targets I could find on the internet and there is no reason to spend more money to buy the same product elsewhere. Do not worry if some of the targets do not come in prime because they just send them in different packaging than the prime ones. Highly recommended and I will be back for more I am sure!

The price is right, and these work well with .22 and 9mm. In fact, I like these better for the .22 pistol shooting than the 3/8" targets I have. This quarter inch reacts more and has a much clearer sound (ping); sometimes, I'm not certain I've hit my thicker plate except for the paint being blown off.

We have a 250 yard range with a steel target set up on our farm. We got a little bored with shooting at round plates, so we picked this up for our Christmas gatherings. Everyone loved it! Much more fun. Held up to our 9mm, 40 cal, 223 also. Very happy, would buy from them again

All dimensions are accurate. Brinell tests accurate. Will STOP .308 TULA even though it's only 1/4in, although it takes damage. Handgun rounds other than my .454 didn't make a dent.Nice things aren't cheap, and cheap things aren't nice. But sometimes you find an INEXPENSIVE product with solid quality. Buy this one with confidence.

The product is made very well. I enjoy it and I have shot it heavily. The thing I appreciate the most is the shipping.It was shipped with a reliable carrier got it one day early. You ship it Cheap and all you will it is bad reviews.

Well built and will work with any caliber. We love shooting at this every weekend. I will hook up to our shooting range set up and we prefer it over any of our other range targets. Worth every cent.

Bought both 16” and 20” for distance shooting. Nice sound when hit. 16” for 800 yds and 20” for 1000 yds.
