2nd Purchase of this sail. Great shade, longevity, and low maintenance
First off shipping-- the sail arrived 4 days ahead of schedule, even with a holiday to slow down mail. Doesn't get any better. This is the second sail we have purchased from this seller(South Mission). We enjoy the ease of use and the shade it provides so decided to replace. I went searching through past orders to repurchase and was surprised to find the original purchase was 6 years ago! The reason the first sail was being replaced was because the metal ring tore through the fabric strap that holds it on. The ring is how the sail is connected to the hardware that goes to the post.It gets year-round use and has been taken down for a few days on two occasions for hurricanes winds. Mold is common on roofs around here, so the 1st time it was down, it was cleaned with a house/siding cleaner. That was 2 years ago. The winds caused many roofs to be replaced and there's been a lot less mold in the area in general and no recurrence on the sail. The only other maintenance has been to periodically tighten it due to stretching, which is a normal. I don't know the recommended cleaning method of these sails. What we used was a house/sliding solution for mold/mildew and it likely called for mixing with bleach. The bleach may have added to the wear and the strap tearing. With 6 years of use and killing the mold, we consider that a fair trade off.The Sandy Beach color is great. Provides shade, doesn't hold heat. Good air flow through and around. It shades the yard and side of the house that gets most of the sun. There's a noticeable difference in the heat reduction. Before the sail, the door (a dark color) and doorknob would heat up to the point it was almost untouchable. That is no longer a problem. Setting the post was the biggest part of installation, after that putting it up or taking down is very quick and easy. Originally, we were thinking of using a very large umbrella to shade that part of the yard and house, so glad we did the sail instead. It has been worry free and very tolerant of the weather. Highly recommend!

Lasted 7 years in big winds
Using them as shade for the end of an RV shed in TX Panhandle winds. Ordered 2 more recently as I was afraid they might not make another year and cause problems.

A very durable product
Iβve used the sail in South Carolina for 6 summers and 5.5 winters. It stayed up through all the weather - winter and summer - including heavy inland winds due to hurricanes. I took it down one time to clean it. After that I found it easier to wash it in place with a high pressure washer and a house cleaning solution. It has not stretched noticeably. It has no tears or holes and no discoloration. It has been anchored using 3/8β by 6β eyebolts in roof rafters. I ignored the rare ice storm we are presently experiencing and did not take the sail down. After the ice got over 1/2β thick two of the fabric straps, which attach the metal rings at each corner, ripped. There was no other damage. I will get new straps sewn on unless that cost is more than buying a new sail.

Excellent Shade Sail
This shade sail is starting its third summer of being in service at my house. The shade sail goes up in April and comes down in December. After two years of service, this shade sail shows a little bit of sun bleaching, but there are no rips, no seams coming undone, and the D-rings are still rust free. Before buying this shade sail, I purchased one that cost about half what this one cost. In a clear example of you get what you pay for, that cheaper shade sail had a rip after one year and the D-rings rusted.UPDATE: 5/9/19 This shade sail is been up for a month into its fourth year of service. Still no rips or tears in the material. Still no rust on the D-rings. Still very pleased with this product.UPDATE: 5/19/19 I now own four of these Shade Sails. The Sandy Beach color has been in service every summer for four years and shows no wear on the fabric or rust on the D-rings. However, I recently ordered a White shade sail. When I put it up with one of my Grey shade sails, I noticed the white one is significantly larger. The white shade sale is two inches longer toward all four corners and the middle of each side is about four inches wider than my older grey shade sail. I was able to make it work, but it required some mounting modifications. The quality seems the same as my older shade sails from South Mission, but the new white one is definitely bigger.

Works well, looks good, great price.
First, an explanation regarding how I used/why I bought this sail. I live in the low desert, Summer temperatures here can be brutal, especially on exterior AC units. I installed this sail to provide shade for my AC. After tracking the sun on the longest day of the year, I installed the sail to the left of and several feet above the AC unit and it provides excellent shade during the peak sunlight/hot hours of the day.Now for a review of the sail. The color blends well with the rest of colors of the desert. The dimensions were as described. The edges are double rolled over for strength and durability. The only area of concern that I have is that the canvas straps that fasten to the D-rings will probably break down after a couple of years of direct sunlight, but at this price, that is not a bad lifespan. It comes with nylon cord, but I installed mine with steel cables. So far, it is done what it is supposed to do. It has also been through a couple of dust storms and several of our monsoon rains ... no issues, no stretching.I would recommend this to a friend (and I have) and I would buy it again (and probably will in a couple of years).

Quality
I purchased first sail 5 years ago in a mustard color which did not like very much but it was the only color they carried. I cannot complain about quality and this is the reason I ordered a second back in September 2021. This time they have it in gray which was the color I was looking for. The mustard is in great condition only dirty from hanging these past 5 years but the grey which is 6 months old it has ripped completely from a corner. I wonder what happened to quality?Disappointing!

and it is perfect for what I needed
I recently purchased this sail, and it is perfect for what I needed! I had a gazebo before this, and this is much easier to remove for winter than the canvas cover of the gazebo. The sail was easy to install and looks great. Still bright, but shaded and we have had some hot days lately! I have been telling and showing everyone and recommend it.

Love it
Just as advertized.. These products are great.. I would not spend the money on the hardware kit as someone else mentioned you can get all the pieces you need at a local hardware store for 1/3 of the cost..But the sales are awesome, and easy to install. A great addition to our yard.
