You've been warned...
I rarely write reviews, particularly negative reviews, but we've had a terrible experience with Filip. We loved the idea of the watch for our 10 year-old daughter with attention issues. But the watch was defective from the first day we received it. It never held a charge for more than a couple of hours. Customer service was very difficult to communicate with. Finally, they asked us to send the watch back to them for repairs, which we did. Then they called a few weeks later to say that nothing whatsoever was wrong with the watch. And that no, they would not repair it. And no, they would not replace it. They insisted that they were right, and that we (the customers!) were wrong, end of story. They did give us the option of upgrading the band for an additional $40, and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I asked them to just return the watch to me. And when the watch finally arrived via UPS, it was filthy, the battery was dead (of course), and there was a number written on the band in black sharpie marker. But most disappointing, the charger was not returned with the watch, causing me to restart the agonizing cycle of trying to reach Filip customer service. Meanwhile, we've been paying for AT&T service during the entire 8 months of this ordeal. What a shame, it seemed like such a good idea.

This is the BEST option out there right now … you just have ...
yes, REAL REVIEWER HERE!!!This is my 2nd one purchased for my daughter who is 7 years old now. We had the first one for around a year before my daughter accidentally smashed it. This is the BEST option out there right now … you just have to know the trick to using it!!!!The first time we bought it straight from AT&T online and set it up according to the instructions. Now, GPS doesn’t work exactly but I didn’t care too much for that. It actually had sent me a notification that my daughter was out in a cornfield when she should be in school. I then rushed over to her school and made sure she was there and not kidnapped and in a corn field. The folks at the front office thought I was crazy.Call quality isn’t superb but again, it works fine in my opinion and is the best option there is.The MAIN ISSUE we originally had was BATTERY LIFE. The first time we had this, the battery would only last for half the day!! From when she went to school, up until around 2pm, just before she gets let out.At some point, it broke because she smashed the screen somehow. I was like gaaah, it doesn’t charge or last all day anyway. Then I noticed another manufacturer was coming out with a new version called Tinitel. I was super excited for it and had put a preorder in for it, and almost waited 6 months. However, I was reading the reviews after it first came out, that they were having issues with battery life too, plus it didn’t have a clock on it. So I decided to cancel that order.I then researched all of the phone watch options out there, all had terrible reviews. Then I read another review on here for this watch where someone had mentioned turning something off. So I decided to buy the watch again, but bought it from here on Amazon instead of directly with AT&T.The KEY TO GETTING GOOD BATTERY LIFE is turning off the constant GPS tracking. You don’t really need that and that’s what drains battery life. You need to turn off that setting in the app. If you want to track your kid, you can still do it manually in the app. Now the watch’s battery lasts all week. We actually haven’t had it run out of battery again.

Adorable concept. Seems to work great
Adorable concept. Seems to work great. My granddaughter loves it, she is 8 years old and not really ready for a cell phone yet. When we are in a store and get separated, she calls me! People look at her funny because she is talking to her wrist.

Horrible! Save your money
I have to amend my previous post as more and more problems have cropped up with continued use. I am now ready to toss this thing in the garbage. It kept telling me randomly that my child was miles away from where she ACTUALLY was. And now the watch will no longer charge. I can't seem to find a way to purchase a replacement charger (assuming that's the problem). And get this, THE FILIP CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER "CANNOT BE REACHED"!! What a waste of money :(Earlier review:The phone function works fine, but that's about the only thing that does. The clasp won't stay locked shut. And the "location" function is inconsistent. Plus, it will not work in areas of low AT&T signal (of which there are many). So it's really no good at locating your child in case of emergency. Plus at times it seems to locate itself very inaccurately and has sent me into a panick by alerting me that my child is miles away from where she actually is.But, it's the watch that works with AT&T, so it's what I use for now. Even so, it was difficult to set up because no one asked AT&T seemed to know anything about it.

This watch sucks. If I could give it a half star or less, I absolutely would. I ordered this in October of 2017 for my grandson. He loved it felt very grown up and independent riding his bike to friends houses on his own for the first few months. Then... the goofy thing started showing him 3 towns away when he was sitting on the swing set in his own back yard. It was straight down hill from there. No customer service to call, no recourse, no returns, no exchanges and no refunds. Save your money and invest in a REAL IPhone watch for your precious little ones.
