PowerSmith PVL6000A Voyager 6000 Lumen Collapsible Weatherproof LED Work Light with Remote Control, Ground Anchors, Shoulder Strap and Four Light Modes

The unit itself is well built! I've been using it for the last two days as temporary lighting out at various jobsite that do not have permanent lighting or power. It will light up a decent size room. However, after running my light for 15-20 mins, the lights would start to flicker than shut off/on. Got to be pretty annoying after the third time. Thought it was a fluke til I went to another jobsite, and it happened again. Unfortunately, the window for return has closed. Waiting for tech support to reply back. It is an inconvenience for the price I paid and for safety reasons, I may not be able to use it much longer for its lack of consistent operation. Another setback, in my opinion, there is only 1 setting, no dimmer or multi setting option. There is another feature that blinks (pretty useless) in my opinion. You would think with a remote it would be an awesome function and justification for the price. My cordless Dewalt and Milwaukee tripod lights put out almost the same intensity and have multiple light settings and adjustable heights. Hopefully my situation is random. All in all, I still think it's a great work light, but because of the flickering and shutting off and on I give it 3 starsUpdate: 21 Dec 2019 No contact from tech support. Light buzzes after a few minutes and constantly turns off and on. Remote control has been checked and functioning properly with battery. Guess I got a lemon

This light is easy to store and transport due to its compact size, and cord wrap. It's also nice that the light lenses are fully protected when stored.The light is a bit fiddly to set up. It's not difficult, but will take a touch longer than some other models.The remote is pretty much useless on the plug in electric model. (Might make more sense for the battery model.) There is a button on the light itself which allows you to turn on/off and change modes. Perhaps if the remote allowed for dimming, (as the battery model offers) it may make sense, but I see it as just something to lose.The nightlight mode provides enough soft light to be useful when you're taking a break from working and do not need full brightness. The flashing mode, I have not found to be useful at all. Both of these modes however produce a noticeable electric whining noise which is rather annoying, so much so that I just do not use them. I've noticed this is also true when the light is plugged in but turned off. This noise when the light is off is the reason for the 3 stars. I suspect the whine noise is due to the unit not ever being fully powered off (as the remote wouldn't work if it was not still in a sort of standby mode). Personally, I just plug the light in to an extension cord with a hard power cut off switch on it.The light output is bright and dispersed enough to be useful for most indoor work jobs. It's also plenty bright to be used for extra light for night time entertaining.Also worth noting, I have contacted customer support about the noise several times. Phones go to voicemail and after two weeks I have not received a reply to my two emails or phone calls. If you have a problem with your Powersmith product it seems you're on your own.

I bought this light after having previously used the more commonly available halogen work lights, which are much bulkier, heavier, and excessively hot. By contrast, this Voyager light is compact, does not generate excess heat, is lightweight, and is still very bright. I really like the pivoting ability of the two light bars, which can be angled in different directions. The unit provides a fairly tall pole, over head high, and it has a large stable base. The unit is light weight enough to be easy to pick up and move. I also like how it stores in a much more compact fashion than the comparable halogen work lights, and is easier to move around. It would be nice to have a slightly longer cord, but it's easy enough to add an appropriately heavy gauge extension cord. The remote control is handy. The remote will let you go between full brightness and a dim setting which is very dim, okay for a sort of minimal illumination at night but not really enough light to be of use in other settings. It would be nice to have a more intermediate light setting, but that's not a big issue. This unit was a little more money that comparable halogen lights, but with the lighter weight, compactness, and performance advantages, I think it was worth paying more. I've used it several times over the last month and it seems like it will hold up for a long time.

Hopefully the third time is the charm with Powersmith. Two of their 12000 lumen (6000 x 2) units burned out on me, one immediately (refund) one after 18 months (SOL). With much hesitation I bought this unit because of the compact design. So far, not disappointed, stores nicely and, practically speaking, lights about as well as the 12000 units for my handyman homeowner uses. But we'll see how long it lasts....

Just received this the other day and very happy with it. Just as advertised! One of the most clever designs I have seen. Very tall but folds down quickly and easily. I have been disappointed with the light output of many LED products that I have bought, but this light is BRIGHT! Took it out in my garage and it lights up the whole place! (22’ x 22’).

The biggest problem with work lights these days is shoddy construction and bad hardware. The tripod on this light is incredibly sturdy (aluminum) and the clips that secure the tripod extensions REALLY HOLD. The base folds down and locks into place easily and STAYS THERE. Very well thought out and a quality product.

I am a paint contractor. I like the height of this light for getting visibility up in the ceiling corners. Height is also easily adjustable and the light heads move to get the light where you need it. The fact that you can just fold it down and take it out to the truck is great! Still, not quite as bright as halogen (that is why 4.5 stars). We use this and still use halogens as well on the job.
