Kimagure Orange Road TV Series

I've loved this series for years. I have the whole 48 episodes on VHS, somewhere, but as I don't have a VCR, needed a way to watch and when this became available I picked it up.The story is a product of its time in some ways, but its still an excellent love triangle where you have a somewhat awkward young man in love with a beautiful and talented woman, but the object of affection for her younger and more outgoing best friend. You have two people who can't seem to say what they really feel and one young lady destined to be the third wheel without realizing or understanding it.But there are hijinks galore thanks to the fact that the young man can do things like teleport and time travel, which results in a number of disasters as he tries to hide his abilities while also using them to date both girls. (not to be mean, but because failing to date the younger girl actually angers the girl he does want to date due to a promise she made to the younger girl.)This isn't as popular as some mostly due to its age and the lack of big conflicts or fights. This is a "slice of life" and "coming of age" story and romance where the powers definitely take a back seat to the romance and story.But you know, I find it more charming for not trying to put the powers in the forefront.

Sadly the casing was broken during delivery and it was the wrong region (A), so I returned the item. But having watched it from another source previously, I am quite confident when I say this is one of the most iconic anime shows ever produced. Can't wait for it to be released for European devices!

On top of being a WONDERFUL Anime series, this version is extremely well done with cleaned-up/restored opening/closing sequences and my favorite part - great translation notes for all the episodes! Having the translation notes helps you _really_ understand many of the subtleties and is invaluable for someone who really wants to better understand the Japanese culture.Be sure to also find and grab the 8-part OVA series and KOR Movie released in the same style packaging/format!

this is a wonderful silly anime from an equally wonderful manga. you get a lot of slice of life, romcom, and super natural elements to the main story. and the music is killer. a lot of 80s tropes to boot. fun stuff! about time it was put on blu ray. now waiting for the OVA and movies to get a proper rerelease

I loved the series and I love the blu-ray. I bought it to watch with my daughter. The whole package looks nice and the media quality (audio/video) is great.A bit expensive though but ok for my budget.

True blu ray quality. A must buy for die hard fans.

Great classic 80s Anime. This is probably my favorite anime of all time. An absolute classic imo. I WANT TO RETURN TO THAT DAY.

If you love 1980s anime and teenage comedy/romance then Kimagure Orange Road (KOR) is for you. The show has a lot of real life slices of life moments, yet some very Zany plots and it all blends very well together and has a lot of heart. The 1980s setting is perfect and without being too dated. I discovered KOR via a streaming site and love it so much I had to get a physical copy of the show. Even though the animation is from 1980s the entire show has been remastered to HD and looks amazing on Blu-ray. The entire 48 episodes of the show are all here on 5 disks. Note the show is note dubbed and it's subtitles only.

Para reproducir los discos es imprescindible poder reproducir Blu-ray de región A. En mi caso, tuve que usar un reproductor de PC.Calidad de vídeo escalada para reproducir por HDMI. Subtítulos en inglés. No trae selección de idioma de ningún tipo ni selección de idioma para subtítulos.

まず先に、評価はどう考えても☆5です。輸入ものだし、値段も安すぎるし、不安を感じながらも購入。その不安は見事消し飛びました。PS4で見ましたが問題ありません。パッケージもメニュー英語ですが気にすんな！英語字幕も設定（SUBTITLES）で消えます。OPの絵を見たとき、思わず「これーーー！！」と興奮して叫んでしまいました。物語の内容自体は好みは分かれるかもしれせんが、自分は原作を今時点でも全巻保管しており大好きな作品です。1980年代スタジオぴえろを代表する作品の１つと言って良いと思います。この当時、制作会社としてスタジオぴえろを明確に意識していたのは確かです。特にキャラデザイン「高田明美」総作画監督「後藤真砂子」この２人のセットは最高です。高田明美さんは有名なので説明不要ですね。後藤真砂子さんについては、クリィミーマミで作監を担当した回のキャラ絵の質が高くかなり後になって調べて理解したことなので覚えています。名前が前にでることはなかなかありませんが隠れた異才だと思います。また、OP、ED共に曲もアニメーションも良かったものが多かったと記憶してます。声優面についてでは、鮎川まどか役の鶴ひろみさん、ペリーヌ物語から最新のドラゴンボールまでの中でもこの鮎川まどか役が嘘偽りなく一番好きなキャラです。片や檜山ひかる役の原えりこさんもこのキャラが一番の代表といえると思います。今見て聞いても２人ともキラッキラに光ってますね。（多少思い出補正入ってます）この作品は末永くのんびり見ていこうかと思っています。（感想は書きませんが、当然２巻目も購入、　２巻目の映画は辛い部分もあるけど何度も見たので好きなんです）あと、最後に既にお亡くなりになってしまった、鶴ひろみ様、本多知恵子様、ご冥福をお祈り申し上げます。

Panasonicのレコーダーでも問題なく見れました。DVDが高騰していくなかでのこのBlu-ray、かなりお得です。久々の鶴 ひろみさんを、48話ぶん懐かしみたいと思います('ー｀)ノ
