The container unit did not include a rubber gasket to seal the joint with the container opening and the electronic salt cell lid. the Without the gasket the screw on cell cap did not seal and leaked a huge stream of water.This gasket should have been included as part of the unit.

My housing has been previously repaired with epoxy, but that only lasts so long. Along with my most recent repair a few days ago I ordered this housing, and good thing. It arrived in about 6 days, and two days later my old housing ruptured. I cut through the old housing to remove it, and I was able to install the new housing without any additional PVC work except installing two 2 inch to 1-1/2 inch adapters. Took less than 90 minutes for the complete repair. Now I have to replace the six inches of water I lost from the pool.Regarding the missing gasket mentioned by another reviewer, no gasket is included. Use the gasket you already have or use the new gasket included with your new salt cell. I ordered two new gaskets from Discount Salt Pool as a precaution, and they are a perfect fit if you want extra gaskets.
