Cyanotype: The Blueprint in Contemporary Practice (Contemporary Practices in Alternative Process Photography)

My book arrived this morning and I spent the day looking through it. I love all the information on papers, digital negatives and different formulas. It is written clearly making it very easy to follow whether you are a novice or expert making cyanotype prints. Enjoyable to read and wonderful to look through. I also enjoyed seeing all of the work by contemporary artists. Bravo Ms. Anderson!

I've been goofing around with cyanotypes for a while as a distraction from platinum printing. While the results have been good, I lack the understanding to really build anything. This book will change that. It is very comprehensive and easy to read. She has done a tremendous amount of research and provided answers to just about every question out there. BUY THIS BOOK. There will come a time when it might go out of print (e.g. Dick Arentz Platinum/Palladium) and you will cry salty tears.

The book is surprisingly expensive but worth the money. Part two has many artists writing about their cyanotype process, generally in great detail, along with one or two examples of work per artist.

Excellent Guide to move to a new art linked to film photography. Detailed yet basic in many ways. Well written and illustrated.

Excellent information on papers and variations in Cyanotype chemistry. Excellent section on digital negatives. Detailed, readerable information, not a dry read but personable. Really enjoyed the section on contemporary working artists.

Beautiful reference book contains a wealth of information for the Alternative Photo community.

Great book and lots of directions. Tells the reader what the abbreviations stand for. It is a book to read cover cover because there is so much content. I loved that all the photographs described what the artist.

Learning and improving cyanotype process

Not just an instruction book but a textbook on the subject in its academic sense. Probably not for those who just want a simple intro.

This book is a real masterpiece. It has all about cyanotype. Under and Under informations, tips, recipes.We are debtors about the author. She has spent a lot of time to write it!

Great handbook, lots of practical advice on everything for both experienced and beginner cyanotypograhers. Great to have a collection of artist images to draw inspiration from.

la première partie est très technique et trop compliqué pour moi dans une autre langue. cette première partie pour moi n'est pas adaptée aux débutants. la deuxième partie est plus intéressante car elle présente le travail d'artistes contemporains.
