My grandson loves it he can read it and it's about something he loved so he reads it more often

My 4 year old son (almost 5) is a HUGE vehicle fanatic; especially of race cars. His favorite movies are Cars and Cars 2. He has a HUGE hot wheels vehicle collection, and one of his favorite pastimes is racing his cars around an imaginary racetrack. When he saw this Hot Wheels book in his sister's Scholastic's book order pamphlet, he just had to have it. We've had this book for almost a month now, and already we've read it to him no less than a couple dozen times! He absolutely LOVES this book!The story is about a race that takes place at the Hot Wheels Test Facility to determine the world's best driver. There are four drivers, green, blue, red, and yellow; each with a different approach to the race. For instance, the green driver is super fast and thinks speed will win him the race, while the blue driver thinks his high tech gear will help him win. The race is described in exciting step by step detail, and some beautiful illustrations are included. The story is very entertaining, and is written using simple easy to read words. This Scholastic Reader Level 1 is geared towards beginning readers. It is a great story for racing car lovers, and a wonderful reading tool for early readers.

I bought this for the school library and the boys love it.

This book was for my 4 year old grandson, and is age-appropriate; because it is a paperback, however, the pages wrinkle and tear easily.

The book is a great addition to my grandsons library.

cute story but hard words for beginning readers to sound out hopefully some publishers will come up with better standards for level 1 and 2 readers.

Great for hotwheels fans! My son gives the book 10/10 because of the illustrations and he loves dinosaurs, especially spineasaurus.

My 6 year old boy absolutely loved this book! He got it for his birthday and insisted upon reading it out loud to all his friends at his birthday party! Would you believe, it went down a hit! Brilliant!
