I bought 6 of these but 2 had to be sent back for replacement because they were missing the parts which should have been there to aid the sliding mechanism. The replacements were fine however. Great to use and you can stick some insect stopping mesh to the back of the vent and it doesn’t interfere with the sliding mechanism, without the missing ‘lugs’ (can’t think of the right word) the sliding piece would wobble up and down and slide at an angle instead of smoothly moving left/right.

We are in the midst of a bathroom renovation and I bought this alongside a white one to see which looked better. I had high hopes considering all of the reviews commenting on how nice they are. However, the vent cover I received was hideous. It wasn't a classy brass colour like the photo, but rather bright yellow. It is so bright and ugly it actually hurt my eyes to look at it. As others have said, the product is very thin and flimsy. Additionally, the piece you are supposed to hold onto to open/close the vent is so tiny and makes it really difficult to adjust the vent - simply impractical. Also, just to note, this vent doesn't come with the insect screen like others do (I knew this before buying). So you will likely need to factor that additional purchase in if you do decide to buy this cover.

Not very sturdy. So, as long as it is shipped to your without and bends, it fine. It need to be sticked to screwed to a flat wall Afterall. Taken stars off due to the flimsiness both in the material and operation. 1. The sliding is also not very smooth. 2. The color is simply shiny yellow not a brass effect. For me, It will be vent ON in summer and OFF in winters, so not a very big deal. You will forget it once it's been installed. Just paint over it if the color hits your eyes.

These work well. Came perfectly packed. Lots of reviews saying they are thin, but what did they expect? They are made of sheet metal that has been pressed. The hit and miss mech works smoothly. Doesn't come with brass screws . So you are going to have to find some.

Nice product, seems very thin but does the job and looks slick.

Looks great, problem is that is super thin and doesn’t stick to the wall fully if it’s not glued or double sided taped. For the price I don’t know why I expected something thicker however I can’t complain it was cheaper than most options. Be careful when installing them and screwing them since they can dent super easy if any pressure is applied to the vent. When screwing them in just tighten them using a hand screwdriver and it should work just fine.
