Great Bass
Solidly built, very playable fast neck, FL in the model number is fretless. I didn't know that when I bought it, but I'm very happy with the fretless bass. With the volume, and the pre-amp tone controls, you can get darn near any sound you like. I'm using it with a TC RH450 head, and a Carvin 1x15 cabinet. It can be a bit midrangey and trebbly, but I just use the eq on the amp, and the pre-amp controls to get what I want, it's got a lot of thump to it, and overall beautiful, and very high quality.

Nice mid range bass
Concave back, fits well up against the body. It seems lighter than the Fender basses, probably because the body is somewhat smaller. The neck seems balanced though...Active circuit. It takes a 9v battery and you have to open the back panel (4 screws) but the battery does not run downif you have the guitar plugged in.The neck. The neck, although not longer, seems to be out further than on my Jazz bass. This puts the 12th fret about wherethe 10th is on the Jazz. Took a little to get used to, but I like the placement. The neck is thin like a Jazz. The look and feel. I prefer the 2x2 tuners to the straight 4. The tuners work well and keep the thing in tune really well. The finish is amazing. The sound. It has crisp highs and pretty good mids. The lows could use some more growl though so you may need an effects box to add that. I use a Digitech 50, Sansamp Bass DI Character, and a Fender foot stomp tuner personally. The bridge. Adjustable of course, but not a quick easy adjustment. Truss rod is in headstock under trc but you have to loosen A and D strings really to make any adjustments. Not sure, but I think I have the Pro version. I have seen another one in GC and it does not have the concave back and is a little more sharply cut on the body.Contact me for any other questions, but I think one would be happy with this one. I first saw one in a You Tube video with Pete Cetera playing it and fell in love with the sound. Check out on the web who has used Spector and I think you will be amazed.
