Men's Waxed N3B Snorkel Parka with Faux Fur Trim

This is a very well-designed and well-made parka. It has many well-placed pockets both inside and outside the shell and is worth the price. I was concerned that the fabric would be too shiny at first. In fact it has a very nice and subtle sheen to it. Unfortunately, I will have to return the item because:1) I ordered size L. The slim body is a good fit for my husband but the sleeves are too slim relative to the body. It fits OK over a very light sweater and shirt but your elbows would feel the pinch with a thicker sweater underneath.2) The hood is perfect if you commute using public transportation and have to walk a few blocks on a cold day. However, it is somewhat bulky and does not zip out and therefore is not ideal if you mostly drive in your own vehicle.

The jacket looks and fits great. It's super warm and the fear fur zips off the hood easily. The construction is very sturdy. If you like the aesthetics and are looking for a coat for the extreme cold, I definitely recomend it.

Seemed like a very nice high quality coat, very nice details. Unfortunately in this case the XXL fit me like a L, everything was much too small. As I've never owned a Spiewak before (and still don't unfortunately) I am unsure if the coat was a mismark or fluke, or if they just use very small sizes. Luckily Amazon's return policy is fantastic so it is worth taking a chance. My quest for the nicest N3B type coat at a reasonable price continues...

I was lucky enough to try this on before I decided to not order it. I've owned a couple of Spiewak coats in the past (since the late 1990s when I was college bound and Navy Wool Peacoats were in) so I was naturally excited about this coat.I walked in to local outdoors store to try on the Canada Goose Chateau but happened to see a fresh stock of these Spiewak Snorkels. The ones in the store must have had the real fur because they were priced at $745 each.I tried the Medium and I expected a much better fit. The medium on my 5"8" tall frame was like wearing an XL or L. The torso was wide and big and the tailoring was also off. The sleeves were overly long and baggy but the shoulders and armpits were super tight.Also the Wax outer shell is a light sheen over the polyester-blend fabric. I was hoping for a heavy canvas waxed material but it was soft and silky like the non-waxed versions.

Its warm, the hood is really nice and is warm. The zipper is a bit clunky. The breast pocket which I use for my phone is too small for my phone, but I have a large phone. I wish there were more options for holding a phone. The fit is a bit too snug.

I just purchased this coat from 6pm, Amazon's sister site. I was nervous when I purchased it that I wouldn't look good in it because those are tall models in the pictures afterall. The coat fits perfectly and looks really good, it actually looks better in person. It's also relatively heavy which is good(relative as in it doesn't look like a huge coat, you'd be surprised I think), because it looks like a lite coat in the pics for some reason. I am 90% on buying this coat again in a different color. I bought the caviar one, i'mstrongly considering the Total Eclipse one as well. 5 star in looks and fit. I really do recommend it. I can't tell you how warm it is yet for sure but I will use it in Buffalo, NY where it gets pretty cold and I can say by feeling the coat and wearing it, it does not feel like a cheap coat at all, I have a 800 goose down coat as well and this Spiewak one although idk how much down it has it feels very warm and comfortable. Finally the only possibleCon of this coat is the huge hood, that's about it honestly. I hope my review was helpful, buy this coat, it's a steal for the price.

We've had ours for 10 years now. Amazingly warm, I get cold easily and have always been able to stay warm in the Chicago winters with this coat. The snorkel is great for winter storms or bad winds. I start wearing it when it gets cold (about 40 degrees for me) and it has remained warm even when it hits -40 out. I still remember what a big purchase it was bc of the price, and can honestly say it was worth every penny. If something were to happen to mine, I wouldn't hesitate purchasing another one.
