Clairol Root Touch-Up by Nice'n Easy Permanent Hair Dye, 6G Light Golden Brown Hair Color, Pack of 1

I really hate the weird metallic grey at my temples and around my face. Only need a small portion and didn't want to dye my whole head so I tried this Was more than enough and had enough to do behind my ears and part. I didn't do a fantastic job with coverage because I cannot wear my glasses while dying my hair. I am happy with the results and with those grey's gone, my hair looks & photographs it's proper color. Strange how with all those greys makes it look more reddish than dark brown. When applying, having never used a brush before, I was a bit heavy handed on my scalp & there was some stinging. That little brush is awesome for getting the dye on my roots!

Buy these regularly for in between salon coloring. Works great

Covers gray very well

I like Clairol Root Touch up in that the little kit with the dish and the brush makes it fast and easy to touch up those pesky roots in between trips to the salon or whole head colors. Clairol is the only brand that will truly completely cover my very resistant grays-my hair is coarse and doesn't take color all that well. Because my hair is very, very thick I really should use two kits and a time. The negative for me is the cost. Whether here or in the store the cost of the touch up kit is basically the same as the cost of the complete color kit. So buying two touch up kits is actually more than one full color kit, even though there is only about 1/4 the amount of hair dye in it. That's a lot to be paying to get a teeny plastic brush applicator and mixing cup. If I buy the whole no little brush applicator and a TON of leftover unused color. So, to deal with my roots I have to choose between buying the full kit (and just use an old brush) and throw half of it away or buy one touch up kit and not really get all my roots covered.

It was easy to use but I am not pleased with the grey hair coverage. I had to go back and touch up "stubborn " greys. Fortunately I had saved the leftover product. I left the initial batch on 20 minutes the the touch up batch on 20 minutes and I can still see where the grey will be peeking through soon. Maybe it's my hair, but the other grey sections took the color well. I won't buy this again.
