The quality is excellent and fit is perfect except the air filter mount screw holes (4 of them) weren't tapped for the OEM 8-32 screw size. Easily corrected with an 8-32 tap. At this price, one can afford to buy a whole set of taps! Great product.

The carb was an exact fit for my Kohler K181 engine, except for a choke lever modification. I made the modification, installed it, gas it up, choked it, it started right off, adjusted needle valves slightly, and it's been running perfectly for the past 2 months. Next gardening season will really tell the story. The choke lever modification consisted of using a hacksaw and metal file to trim/cut the lever off so that it would not hit or interfere with the engine casting in normal movement of the engine's choke rod and handle. The only drawback is that now, with the new carb and choke lever modification, the normal position (unchoked) for the engine's choke rod and handle is in the up position. To choke the engine with the modifications, the engine's choke rod and handle is now pushed down.

Save your money, rebuild your existing carb.Does it physically fit? Yes.Does it fit any of the other pieces? Not without significant modification.Holes for throttle rod and choke rod too small, would need to be drilled and/or relocated.Choke 100% out, could make it work, but why bother?Had already ordered the card rebuild, thought I would have a spare for the shelf.This will make a nice paperweight, no worth sending back.

I needed a gasket for mu old carb. When I looked on Amazon, I was amazed that I could get a new carb and gasket so reasonably. Like others who have commented, I had to make one very small modification to get it to work like the original. I had to drill out a hole a little larger for the carb linkage. Not a big deal. Worked fine.

Good fit choke linkage had to be modified but works great 👍

My Troybilt 8 Horse tiller has been sitting for an extended period and the carburetor was ruined. Replaced with this unit and it cranked immediately and runs perfect.

Bought this when I started having trouble with my rototiller. It was apparently was just the outside heat. I havent installed it yet. It looks exactly like the original.
