I bought these brushes for my well used Dewalt DC28110 and when I went to install them discovered they were far too long. It was quite obvious they were this way by design, and simply needed to be properly dressed to suit the device. this could easily be done with a hand file or a sanding block, but it took only 5 seconds on my oscillating sander.Be careful doing it this way, as they sand down REALY fast. I took mine down to 13mm in length, with the curve slightly off center to get as much surface contact as possible. (see photos)I am happy to have my old reliable grinder back up and running, and even have a spare set now for ten years down the road when these wear out too.One last note: make sure you use one copper, and one tin brush, as only one of them has the "kill switch" built in. (the little button that pops out of the brush and turns your grinder off to tell you your brushes are done and keep you from destroying your grinder)

Dewalt grinder parts running like new again

Replaced the brushes in my grinder with no issue! Plugged it in and it sounded funny like it was increasing in RPM real slowly, then one of the newly installed brushes broke. Replaced broke brush and tried it again and sounds normal with no broke brushes so far. Should have filed them down a tad because the housing they sit in is right up agents the cover. Maybe on a rainy day I’ll do just that!

I had to replace the brushes in my Dewalt D28112 mini grinder. These brushes are exactly like the original and fit perfectly. The grinder now works fine.

Great easy fix for my 7amp dewalt grinder. You will need to file them down just a little and more on an angle. Brought my grinder back to life for a third time.
