Good book. All these Usborne illustrated stories can be devided into into three categories: books with prevailing illustrations, books with moderate illustrations and books with less illustrations and more text. This one is the last one as there are pages where there is only text. So, according to the age of your kid, you can go for this or that illustrated stories book by Usborne checking it for the content on Google.

Includes 30 aesop fables with moral. The right length of stories with not much illustrations. Expected more illustrations though. Usborne never disappoints me. Great book.

Though description says illustrated stories but actually there was very few illustrations.. not enough to hold interest of young children... language is another issue.. sentences are long and complex for beginners in reading....it will make good read for 8/9 year olds... of course all kids need to know the these moral stories which their parent grew up reading .. so would recommend it

Beautifully illustrated book with great life lessons by Aesop

Everything was fine.

Each story is substantial, with a moral summarized at the end. Beautifully illustrated hardcovered, with high quality paper and printing as well as a ribbon bookmark. A great gift for the kid in your life!

Really love this product. Bought it for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas and we currently read it together but you can see that she will also get lots of reading pleasure herself with it in years to come. The book itself is beautifully made and illustrated. It's the right size for small readers and is printed on high-quality durable paper and cover. The stories are a wonderful selection of familiar and new Aesop tales which deal with moral themes such as Greed etc. I think it's a great way to introduce or discuss moral or emotional themes (such as empathy, jealousy etc) with a child. So much better the Snow White/Cinderella genre. There's also no gender stereotyping as all the characters are animals. Would highly recommend.
