EASILY goes through the roughly 30 trout I cleaned, plus about a dozen catfish. It does take some practice to get used to as it cuts very quickly and mistake are easily made. The "ON" trigger is VERY sensitive...BE CAREFUL!!!Mine does have a problem with the blades releasing while I am using the knife. This is inconvenient, but not necessarily dangerous. It "may" be me as I notice when the knife is gripped, my thumb is very close to the blade to release. If this is so, I will learn to "not do that", but ergonomically it is not a good design if that is the case.The plastic body of the knife feels pretty cheap. Time will tell on that one.I would buy it again, but I am counting this lasting several years.The five blade sets are nice and the ones I've tried both worked great. Very sharp.

Best 110 volt electric filet knife on the market. My first one lasted 15 years so when it died, it was a no brainer to buy another.

seems to work ok, but it feels cheap and the blade release button is in a position that you accidently release the blades while youre cutting and its scary

Does what it is supposed to do. Nice to have multiple blase changes and storage case. Takes some time to get used to but a lot of You Tube videos on how to use electric filet knives.
