Amazing lead, especially for big strong dogs.
Amazing lead! Our girl is just under 22kg and is very strong. This lead takes away so much of the shock when she tries to pull and has been an absolute asset in lead training her, especially with me having a bad shoulder, this makes it much more comfortable for me.Only downside being the traffic control handle is quite uncomfortable when trying to control her (she is a rescue and very reactive to traffic so lunges at anything moving) as it is plastic and digs into my hand. However I solve this just by using my cycle gloves when I know we’ll have to use the road.Would highly recommend this lead, the main handle is really comfy and is overall a fantastic product.

Great lead - works a treat
My border collie used to pull and pull choking himself all through his walk, no amount of professional training seemed to work. Not any more with this lead! He kind of softly bounces back when I pull back slightly every stride or so, then stops pulling completely after a short while, it’s also better for my aging shoulders and arms lol

Brilliant for large breeds!
I don’t know what wizardry this is but this lead is phenomenal! I have a Retriever puppy who at 18 weeks is already a strong dog. She has started to pull when out on lead walks so I wanted something gentle to help teach her. On the first walk with this lead she seemed to respond to it like it was correcting her pull, rather than me, and it worked well. Just brilliant Barkswell! Thank you!

Be Careful
This is a most comfortable lead and I'm sure in 9 out of 10 cases, this is an ideal lead. However, I have an extremely reactive, heavy lab, and I weigh 7.5 stones. If I use the lead full length and my dog 'goes off on one", then there is a kind of bungee effect, in which my dog stretches to the full extent of the lead, and after a delayed reaction, I am pulled towards her, which is not what I want. However, this is a well-designed piece of kit, with an additional ring which enables the lead to be reduced in length by half and secured, and in this way I feel far more confident in being able to control the dog. And also there is an additional handle which helps restrain her in extremis.

Saved my knees and sanity!
We have a boisterous 12 month old golden retriever who weighs 35kg. Recently he has been pulling on the lead so hard that my hips, back and knees were aching. We've tried the Halti lead and he wears a harness but was still able to pull with those. We do try and train him with treats and stopping etc when he pulls on the lead but just to help out I thought it would be worth buying one of these leads. I'm so glad we did as it has taken probably about 85% of the pulling away. If he sees a bird he wants to chase he can still get some weight behind him but not like before. These are things I love about this lead:1. Very comfortable to hold and the extra handle near the collar is so useful if you need to secure your position2. It seems to be training him not to want to pull. I've noticed a decrease in him wanting to be out in front of me and with persistent training to walk calmly next to me with some treats and rewards etc the combination of the lead and training is working really well3. Our walks are much more calm and less stressful4. We clip it on to a body harness and that works very well as he can't pull with his neck so I think that combination is good5. Very good quality, I have no negative things to say about this lead at all

Lead was good but not good now not good for strong dogs
This lead was good for couple of months of using and the traffic handle has ripped and is hard to control your dog if your dog is strong the spring isn't good as notice of you want your dog close to you this lead isn't good feels like it is going to break had a good couple of months with it but wouldn't recommend if you want something to last long time we have a strong ataffie and this isn't good

Great quality!
These are really sturdy leads ( I have 2) that greatly reduce that 'tug' at the end of a lead without the bungee in. I have two rescues, both 9 years old and despite hundreds spent on training they still pull like mad! :( The larger german shep size is a real nightmare and after an operation on my shoulder I have found it more painful to walk her. These leads do not stop the pulling (in my experience) but when the do pull it is like it's cushioned. The extra handle near the collar end are also a godsend. When they pull too much or if like mine have a tendency to go at speed towards other dogs you have great control. I'm sure the majority of dogs aren't all unruly teenagers that would benefit from an asbo, but if you have dogs that are these leads will save a bit of pain at least! :D I also like that I could order an orange lead for my more nervous pooch that likes barking to make people think he's braver than he actually is. I'm hoping people will see it as a RAG system (red, orange and green) and so know that he isn't always the most approachable.Do these leads stop pulling? For me no - but they are strong, robust and do save my shoulders. I'd definitely recommend giving them a go!
