It is so "light weight" it is a toy! As far as "value" not worth buying. And "Durabilty" I think if a person set out to catch the smallest of fish it might be ok.

I originally found one of these at my local Dick's Sporting Goods as a gift for one of my friends. He loved it and let me use it a few times too. The rod is decent quality for the price and its super fun to fight fish on. The reel is not good for casting so you have to bullet cast it which can be hard. When you hook on a fish though, its feels like your fighting a huge fish which is always fun. Anyways, I liked it so much I decided to purchase one of these for myself.Pros:- Cheap Price- Fun to Use- Small and PortableCons:- Hard to Cast

There are many who challenge themselves on YouTube with this very product to see what- if anything they can catch on it. It’s a novelty. It’s a mildly cool invention and were it made of more quality materials this might be something beyond just a cheap gag. The reel is useless. The pole isn’t terrible and may well be suited for ice-fishing. It’s a silly thing to buy and you should only buy it if you’re feeling silly.

I catch perch with it. It's kinda cheaply made but it does the job. I not to happy with the reel though. There's no drag and it will unwind itself if your not holding the handle but for the price its not bad

I gave this a 4 because it is well made and functional as a short fishing pole with a reel to pull the line in, but they are not for casting. I bought several for the young kids who don't cast. Spindle in reel is very small so a very flexible line is needed to work well. If you want to have something that stores easily that can let you get a hook in the water is good. The clip like a ball point pin is a nice gimmick, but where are you going to carry the reel. Very nice as a toy. Looks and feels like a real rod and reel but easier to use.

A good little pole but u really cant cast it with out trying 2 hook yourself. So i had 2 pull some fishing string out . And then throw it out but other that that its a good pole .so what useful in some cases

I purchased 3 of these for my son's Easter Baskets. They are 10, 14, and 16. They all thought they were cool and my husband finally took them out last weekend to try them at the lake. They are ok just for fun but not really for a REAL FISHERMAN. The kids got a kick out of them but they didn't catch anything. Its a cute novelty item but that's about it. Its a pretty good fishing convoy but not good if you are looking for a high quality fishing combine. Its more of a novelty item because it does not cast far at all. On my fist try it only went about 4-5 feet of the pole. There is a spin cast pen rod which is 100 times better but its about 3 dollars more. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BEACUSE IT TAKES ABOUT 3- 3 1/2 MONTHS TO COME UNLESS YOU ORDER 2 DAY SHIPPING WHICH COST 2 TIMES MORE THAN THE ITEM ITSELF
