Niggling.
I'd had this book on my wish list for a while and with the onset of the new year decided it was time to purchase it. I'm glad it was only $10 I wasted. What a bunch of nonsense and fluff. Other reviews that say this book lacks substance, or is spirituality for "the GOOP crowd" (ha!) are absolutely right. Every page is a new chapter and a new eye-roll. I'm just about halfway through, I don't think I'm gonna make it. I've read plenty of these types of books (Sincero, Hawkins, Abraham HIcks, etc), and Light is the New Black is just total puff. At one point Campbell states that she is typing away as the words come pouring out from her. And that's how it reads. As not-thought-out stream-of-consciousness unsubstantial fluff. You don't need to read this book. There's nothing new in it. If anything, I guess you could use it as a series of reminders to practice mindfulness, but it's really just repetitive and laugh-worthy. It's almost like a parody of the genre honestly. Anyway, if, once I finish it, Campbell has changed my mind, I'll update this review.Oh, and as for the title of the review. Okay, I know "niggling" is a word, but it's an awkward one just because of the first four letters. There are plenty of other words to chose from that mean the same thing, but Campbell keeps with this one and it's just weird. Niggle niggle niggle niggle. One of the chapters is called "Face the Niggle." It's just weird. She uses it SO MUCH. I don't know the etymology or anything, but, like, it's an uncomfortable word right?! It distracts from the message she's trying to convey, because the "niggling feeling" she's attempting to describe just becomes discomfort at having to read this word over and over, and not anything deeper or soul-level. I may be alone in this, which is fine.... but like... PICK ANOTHER WORD. The repetition of any uncommon word is distracting, to be honest, so I'm not blaming this totally on the resemblance to another certain racial slur solely. It's just annoying. The narrative voice is annoying. The lack of any substance is annoying.Cool if you got something out of this, that's great if you bettered yourself and answered your soul's calling. But, like, I bet you didn't *just* because of this little pink book. Skip it.

A worthwhile read
It's true, almost each page is its own little chapter. This book does not require an hour of deep concentration to read a chapter and understand what it is saying. Yay! This book is filled with good ideas, positive encouragement, and ideas for practices to try to increase your personal power/joy. I found it uplifting, easy to digest, and definitely worth reading. Maybe, if you are far along on your spiritual journey, you would find it naive or simplistic. However, if you were far along on your spiritual journey, you would not find the need to write such negative comments about the author's stated passion for writing, or her enthusiasm. Just saying.....

I don't believe I have ever left a bad review of a book in my life. I just cannot get over this one. I am fairly well-read all around, with many hours spent in metaphysical literature ( I am a huge fan of Tolle, Abraham-Hicks, Wayne Dyer, etc.). I just feel like there is no substance to this book whatsoever. There is a ton of empty space and big print, typographical errors, and other things that I just can't stomach as a reader. This proverbial double-whammy of lack of substance and a lack of a decent editor just has me feeling awful, like if Rebecca Campbell really did have a heartfelt message to send to the world, this book completely missed the mark. It's borderline laughable.

So it’s not a university text book.
The media could not be loaded. Based on the low reviews I’ve read, I should preface this with the blanket statement that this is not a metaphysical history text book. However - it is an amazingly simple (and fun!) read with some great exercises to get you back in touch with your light or grow from where you’re working now. Buy the book.

Inspiring and Thought Provoking
What an amazing book. This book was beyond inspiring and thought provoking. Most chapters has a question at the end that really makes you stretch your brain and think out of the box about yourself, your life, your relationships, your womanhood and MORE!If you are a lightworker or a woman who has found herself a little lost, this is a book for you. It's truly amazing and I was so engrossed that I finished it within one weekend.Rebecca made me realise that my journey is unique for me and I don't have to have everything figured out, AND that I can take time to do things MY way because that's right FOR ME!While I love my eBooks, this is one that I'd get for paperback just to browse through when I needed some inspiration!

Very Powerful, Inspiring, and Full of Love and Light :D
This book is very heart-felt, i almost cried after reading this due to how much i could relate to her experiences. Also, this book has opened my eyes to different possibilities in life and given me deeper insight as how the universe works. I feel more connected to myself and to Source energy. I am very full of light, love, and happiness to give to the world. Now, i hope that i could inspire other people to be happy with themselves as they were created to be themselves. You are you, love yourself there is only one if YOU in the world. Rebecca Campbell has empowered me share my gifts to the world and i am very excited to share these gifts with everybody.

Love how inspirational this book is!
I love this book so much! I bought it last year when I was going through the dark night of my soul. I didn’t know it then and didn’t end up reading this book until now. I don’t think the message would have been as strong if I read it a year ago. Thank you for the motivation on so many parts of my life. I do need to get out of my own way sometimes and just let the universe guide me where to next.

Healed my broken soul.
WI’m not really a person who can sit down and read often, at the time when I bought this book I was becoming more and more spiritually interested and fancied something good to read. This book helped me find some sort of healing when I went through a really horrific time of my life. And now I pass it to anyone who needs to feel that same helping hand that I did. And I will read this over and over. I hope anyone who does read this, really finds a connection with it and it can help them in a way that it helped me.

Best book I’ve ever read! Must for those who feel alone and confused in life!
Honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read. I never leave reviews but this I felt so called to do so. Rebecca reminds me so much of my self. Everything she writes talks to my soul in so many ways. From feeling a misfit and alone to not being able to speak up to what she truly felt so she would write what she wanted to say in writing and post them under her mums and dads bedroom door... I use to do this all the time haha! She is a true inspiration and I’m so glad I came across this book. I never usually feel the need to write stuff down when I read but with this I got a note book and pen and had so many downloads in my self and inspiration to write about. Thank you!!

Your Soul has all the answers, let this book help you to speak to your soul!
Great inspirational book. It’s like a spiritual life coach on paper. Reminding you to get back to who you really are, to ignore all the voices that tell you you can’t (your own and those of others), to shine your own unique light and be you!Full of inspirational quotes and quality direction, this is a really good book and confirms for me that I’m heading in the right direction by developing my spiritual side and encouraging my light to shine!

Fragmented but some good stuff in there so stick with it
I didn’t want to leave a negative review because there is a lot of good stuff in here, but I can also understand the lesser reviews, as the book is very fragmented and jumps around quite a lot. I bought this book on audible and with all of the co start quotes and the jumping around and back and forth, it was quite hard to follow and concentrate on. I nearly gave up after a few chapters but I did persevere to the end and did take away a lot of good stuff. It’s not for everyone, but do stick with it and, as Rebecca herself says, even if you only take 1 or 2 things away that are helpful to you personally and improve your life and outlook and help you shine your light, then she will have done a good job :)

Inspirational for starseeds and lightworkers
One of the most spiritually inspiration book. I love the writing style of the author as it's very smooth and melodic. I've read the book twice. The first time I was at the beginning of my spiritual awakening and couldn't fully relate to the content. Second time was 8 months later when I was awakened, starseed/lightworker and all. Now I absolutely appreciate the content of the book. I had a notebook and wrote down each of the 'Work your light' exercises that helped me tremendously to discover my souls calling and who I really am. 100% this book, especially if you are a starseed, lightworker or someone who wants to delve more into that and has an open mind.
