Good cover
I've used this mower cover for six months so it's gone through one hot weather season April-October. The cover functions as advertised and is easy to remove and put on. It has kept my riding mower protected from the elements so I have been able to keep it outdoors, therefore eliminating the need to keep the mower in the shed so the shed can be used for storing other items. The top of the cover has faded from black to medium gray color in six months, but the integrity of the fabric seems as good as new. I guess that the cover will endure for several years, although only the passing of time will prove that true or false.UPDATE: I've now had this cover for one year. It's faded a bit more to a lighter gray but functionally appears as new. It is mostly waterproof with little water found on my mower after rain (and I often get strong wind rainstorms). At this rate it is reasonable to project that the cover will last several years.UPDATE: Getting close to 1.5 years and the cover is still intact and strong. It hasn't faded any further since my previous update. I find water on the seat only occasionally and then after a very hard rain, so it is pretty much waterproof. This is a very good cover and I feel it will last for many more years.UPDATE: The cover has been in use for nearly three years (34 months) through sun, rain, wind, snow, etc. It continues to protect my mower as well as it did when new. The color has faded to light-medium gray but it remains flexible with no holes and the stitching is fine. At this point I feel the cover has proven to be very good and I will be surprised it it doesn't last at least a couple more years (hopefully longer so as to lessen my contribution to the landfill). Because of this I have upgraded my rating from 4 to 5 stars.UPDATE: I've been using the cover for 42 months and it is showing its age a bit. The fabric seems a bit thinner now, and one small rip is present. I think it will last over winter but might need replacing after that. So my revised projection is that it will have lasted four years, maybe five if I'm lucky. If so, that will be respectable, given the environmental conditions that it is constantly exposed to. I'll update later.UPDATE: Almost four years to the day I bought it the cover needs to be replaced. The fabric is thin in some spots with a few tears. I figure the cover cost the equivalent of just a tad over $1/month for the four years I've owned it, which I consider reasonable and fair.

Durable Quality
My last purchase of this cover lasted over 7 years and has endured the rain and intense California sun. I was shocked when I went to purchase the replacement that it had lasted so well, so long.

Won't last forever
I've bought three of these covers over the years and their life seems to steadily diminish so either it's climate change or quality control. Been exactly 3 years since I bought it last and now the deck height lever has poked a hole in the cover sot it's time for replacement. The first thing to go was the cord at the split rear but a spring clamp worked to hold the cover. there is often water in the garden tractor seat so it's not entirely waterproof. All in all though it has been a tough cover and I like the way it fits down and around the wheels and mower deck. Since the price increased over $20 since the last order I am passing on #4 order and going with another cover. I might have gone for another order but could not find the denier of the fabric in the specs. It's pretty good though the uptick in price scotched this time. Maybe for a new tractor but not now. If you can justify the expense, go for it.

Classic Ind. Tractor cover
This is my third cover. The first one purchased was one of these and held up well, about 2-1/2 years until a racoon got into it and tore it up. The next one I bought at the Sears retail store (I have a Craftsman lawn tractor)with "Craftsman" logoed on the front. It was a pretty good cover but not nearly as good as the Classic Industries cover, as it only held up about 2 years, and tore on the top from degradation of the fabric from the sun. I live in Danville Ca and the sun really takes it's toll on equipment left outside. The last lawn tractor's paint was burnt on all the top surfaces and the rubber tires where all damaged from the sun, so when my wife bought me the new tractor I insisted it be covered at all times it wasn't in use. The fabric is heavier on the Classic cover than my last cover, and others I have seen. I only wish that someone would make a tractor cover from the silver reflective tarp fabric that would hold up even better under the sun, I wonder why they're not offered. The first Classic cover I bought (same color black) did turn to a gray from the sun, but it was still holding up well, not rotted through like the second cover. We've had quite a bit of rain lately and the water beads right off of it now, but I can't say that will be the case in a year or two. Like I metioned earlier, it's the sun damage that I'm most concerned with and this cover is the best I've found so far.

Looks to be a sturdy cover.
I got this cover for my John Deere tractor. I usually covered it with a tarp but wind always wins and throws it off even though I put a rope around the tarp. Let Mama Nature do her worst now. I don't think she'll have any luck getting this cover off.The cover is sturdy and snugs up to stay put. Other reviews said the seat got wet, but I just lean the seat forward and that should keep the seat dry if any rain gets in. The cover looks to be sturdy, well sewed and pretty much water proof. A lot cheaper than a John Deere label cover and I had looked at them at the John Deere store but this Classic Accessories cover looks like its made of better material. The price is very reasonable and after some initial problems with my address that I contacted Amazon about, it was at my door in 3 days. Usually it takes a week or more to get my things I order from Amazon (living in a rural cattle ranch area) but I was really surprised at how fast I got this cover. Good thing too, its supposed to rain all this week. Oh yeah, it makes my tractor look wicked good in black.
